Vita Vea did literally nothing
Should've traded him when we had the chance.
Pretty obvious both at the time and in hindsight.
Now he's fat, happy and paid... Cool.
There were plenty of people that were happy that Licht gave in to Vea. I would have been fine with him sitting or trading him. There certainly was very little difference with him on the field Sunday.
Honestly, letting their aging players walk is one of the things that separates the good organizations from the bad organizations. Paying for past performance rarely works out well.
Instead of a non-guaranteed final year on an aging and declining DL, we’ve now committed ourselves to an additional $46M and a near $31M cap hit for next season.

If we move on from Bowles next season, I’m a fan of Licht going with him.
