It's just the facts
It's not the facts it's the argument I am taking issue with. Just because a division had better record does not mean NFC South division games are easier lol.
it is a FACT that the Saints quit in our first game and then came out strong in the last game ... because they had a chance to be a spoiler
We weren't better than the Lions.
We were twice.
We beat them in their place and then our playoff defense of the Commanders was BETTER. But, what happened to the best team wins? It comes with an * when Bowles is involved?
And by the way, ... the way we got that first victory right? Bowles and Campbell head to head ... that special teams play ...
woah!
The argument about a weak division was defeated during several years of runs by the Patriots.
It’s a tired argument. We hung with several elite teams last season, as well as defeating some, despite some periods with subpar defensive talent (and offensive talent for some stretches).
”Luck” is part of it, whether it’s a beneficial schedule, or being able to stay healthy.
Like I said, it’s a tired argument. I’m personally ready for this season to start, anxious to see this defense start to gel.
Y'all are being blind homers and ignoring how lucky we are that we can win a division consistently with 8-10 wins.
Naturally, the Bowles Apologists will cling to "the weak division excuse is overplayed".
They claim that every division game is tough, so that has to factor into it.
Well, if that's the case, which division would you rather play those games against?
The one that went 33-14 in non-divisional games, or the one that went 16-29?
If we're in any other division in the NFC the last 3 years, we don't win a single division title and don't make the playoffs. Those are facts.
We're fortunate to be in arguably the biggest dogshit division of the last 3 years. Easier to get in the playoffs that way and get a chance to get lucky.

It quite literally means those games are easier.
Divisional games are tough but they are certainly easier when their QB is Spencer Rattler vs Caleb Williams.
Talent matters. We played like crap vs the saints and pulled it out because they are dog shit.

The lions defense was decimated. We were basically at full strength.
Bowles decided we would die by a thousand cuts instead of a shootout. He decided minimal possessions was the way to go..keep everything in front of you.
We lost.
