I mean if you’re considering Mesidor, why not trade for a slightly older, original article, Maxx Headroom? I mean, especially sinc Maxx already has actual NFL experience at a high level?
If they will take #15 for Crosby, sure. But I'm guessing they are gonna want a bit more than that.

FAB 1. Akheem Mesidor Is The Relentless Edge Rusher The Bucs Need
" The Bucs are so high on David Walker, the team’s fourth-round draft pick last year, that Tampa Bay will likely draft just one edge rusher this year so as not to take many reps away from him when he returns to action from the torn ACL that cost him his rookie season. "

This would be a great haul
Circling back on this, do you think he gets past Baltimore?
Either Fano, Vega or Mauigoa are going to be there. There’s only 14 guys that can go ahead of us.
Our pick should be one of these 3.

Out of those 3, I think Vega will be the most likely to be in our range.
Also think we might be able to move back a bit, and still snag him.
Would be a big win.
Over the last 10 years, the teams that have drafted the most 1st or 2nd round offensive linemen (6 and 5) are teams like the Falcons, Panthers, Giants, Jets, Dolphins, Raiders, etc. The teams that have drafted the least (3) are the Bills, Packers, Chargers, Chiefs, Rams, 49ers, etc.
Doesn't Mesidor have some injury history that could make teams shy away from him in the 1st?

As a Tennessee alum and season ticket holder, this would be a colossal mistake by the Bucs. McCoy is good, don't get me wrong, but they need to really focus on more pressing needs in the 1st, like an Edge guy, an O-Lineman, or a LB. Not to mention McCoy has some injury concerns. And of the two Tennessee CBs projected to go somewhere between 13-35, I would rather have Colton Hood than Jermod McCoy (it's "Jermod" not "Jermond"). Also if Licht and company think CB is a pressing need, there are good with the potential to be great ones that can be had in rounds 2 and possibly 3. Treydan Stukes is my CB target if I were the Bucs and he is trending in the 50s.Schrager has the Bucs selecting Jermond McCoy of Tennessee.
Bowles
"
I feel like there are some [inside linebackers] in this draft that can really play. There’s are quite a few of them – at least 10 or 12 of them, for sure,” Bowles said.
“The trait we look for the most is probably instinctiveness. You look for instincts right there, how they read, how they scrape and how they go. And I think there’s a bunch of those in this draft.”
I think the Bucs are all over Jermod McCoy if he drops to them. Also the fact that the team feels good about drafting ILB in the middle rounds based on what Licht and Bowles have done and said hints at this too.
The only wild cards left for round 1 is an outside chance the Bucs go TE or OL. Messidor while a possibility may be drafted higher than most anticipate and it would take an run on offense to force him to drop like what happened with Verse.
