Without a Pass Rush???

Bowles blitzed all night and still no sacks.

no sacks.

in this specific game because they covered well and the PRESSURE of the blitzing delivered.

Prescott has been good this season against the blitz, but not last night and the scheme gets some credit for that. One of the turnovers is a edge rusher dropping in coverage.

Its interesting because post-game takes are usually (and understandably) results driven.  Bowles took the same approach against the Packers, held them to 17, but the Bucs LOST. Post Packers game Bowles is an "idiot" who should've blitzed more etc.

What was the actual difference? In that game the rookie QB throws TWO picks and the big one is Irving only runs 16 times for 60 (3.8) whereas in this game last night NO PICKS and Irving runs 21 times for 165 yard and a TD and a receiving TD. Take out the big pass to Tez though and Daniels is barely moving the team through the air, but the run game is on.

Last night they caught FLAT cowboys team with a bad run defense but the game plan and the scheme also worked, even Prescott said as much post game.

I would read into it.

There were a lot of slow developing drives.

Bucs won the turnover battle and were way better on third down.

So basically a fluke

Sacks are as goofy a stat as there is.  The Cowboys are in primetime on a short week and score 16 points at home.  Solid play by the defense to play with a clock in their head, especially in the secondary.
