If they manage to muck up the season (as I am convinced they are going to do) and wind up with the first pick, They cannot pass on generational talent like that. If they do, move the fucking team out of Tampa.Why rule out trade backs? The Bucs aren't going to draft a QB, and another team will trade up for that spot for one. If you have the first pick and there are legit QBs in the draft and you aren't taking one trading back is a no-brainer....which direction are you going?

I am a huge fan of BPA this next draft and if by some miracle we have first pick (no way that happens with self serving coach and GM winning meaningless games late) and we get Smith first overall... We'd be the best wr core in the league within 2-3 years.

The Bucs made their decision to invest in Baker. They aren't going to give up on him after 1 year so rest assured, while a QB selection could be possible, i see the Bucs going in a different direction.
If they were smart (which clearly they are not) they would pair Baker with an offensive minded head coach play caller in an attempt to try and fix him.

2020 Super Bowl winner (Bucs) has a big losing season 6 years later
2021 Super Bowl winner has 5 wins a season later
Almost all of those teams above are considered top teams with tops $ owners, top QBs and top head coaches (Eagles, Rams, Chiefs, Patriots) so if anything the Bucs path has been unexpectedly good up to and including this inevitable fall.
