Nabers is in the MHJ category right now.
Lol.
Stop looking at box scores and look at the film.
Nabers is an alpha. MHJ isn't.
Lol cmon DH. Alpha? Like I get what you mean because MHJ has the drops and got in his head but cmon... Nabers also had drop issues his rookie year then he got hurt.
I'll give the edge to Nabers but neither of them have done anything. Both have potential. They are in the same boat.
No way you'd put Nabers in your top 5. Maybe top 10 if you want to be generous.
Yes, between the two, Nabers is the alpha.
He's shown to be every bit of an elite, game changing player.
MHJ hasn't.

They've both show flashes. Nabers had 170 effing targets his rookie campaign. 35% target share.
Marvin Harrison by contrast had 116 targets.
I'm taking Nabers over Harrison at this point but there isn't some massive delta between the 2.
Kyler Murray is so damn short he just fed McBride underneath nonstop and the offense ran through Connor.
I think it's crazy to write or MHJ...
But if we are talking top 3 for last year, it's
JSN and Puka by a country mile over the next batch of WRs.
Chase gets to be top 3 by default but Pickens (contract year blip) and Amon Ra had better years.
Jefferson wasn't even top 15 last year and it wasn't just bad QB play. He didn't have a good year.

Do you at least understand you're in the vast minority here? Arizona has not been happy with Harrison's play - and it has nothing to do with Kyler Murray, as he played five games this season. I'm certainly not writing him off, but he hasn't lived up to expectations - which were sky-high. Not even close.
Well JSN was the best wr in football this year and Jefferson took garbage time to get to 1k.
Jefferson wasn't even top 15 last year and it wasn't just bad QB play. He didn't have a good year.
Among NFL starters, Jefferson's QB had the lowest completion percentage, passing yardage, & QB Rating. Jefferson's bad season wasn't because of him, the HC, the OC, the OL, etc., it was because of his QB. Jefferson did pretty well last season with the QB JSN had this season.
In the end I rank OSU LSU as:
JSN
Chase
Jefferson
Olave
Wilson
Nabers
Egbuka
MHJ
McLaurin
Thomas Jr
Tate/Smith <-- why OSU is WRU
Zavion Thomas is an interesting prospect tho
Also Jefferson legit didn't play well. Yes the QB play was bad but he's just not a prolific scorer. He averages 7 TDs/year. Very similar to Julio Jones.
He dropped 4 or 5 TDs last year that an elite wr should catch.
In the end I rank OSU LSU as:
JSN
Chase
I would say that's a pretty clear case of recency bias. Chase has been an elite WR since day one. JSN was blah in year one, very good in year two, but just showed up to the elite party in year three.
The rest of your list was equally as dicey, TBH. You really don't like Nabors, huh?

I will 100% admit it's recency bias so you could swap Chase and JSN and I wouldn't have an issue. Not sure what else on that list is wrong. It's tough not to have *some* recency bias.
McLaurin should be higher but he was hurt all year and at his age he's likely sunsetting.
Nabers I like but again he didn't play last year. His rookie year he had the most volume ever for a rookie and the Giants were always playing from behind and abandoning the run game. It's not that I don't like him... Even with the ACL tear he has the talent to be a top 5 wr but so does Brian Thomas or even Egbuka or MHJ. They all have talent but you gotta produce... And when the lion's share of your production came your rookie year on 170 targets, and almost zero meaningful plays when it actually matters... I don't value that as highly as players that are on contending teams with other players fighting for targets.
More from Steve Smith, explaining why Egbuka gets an "A"
“I got all A’s going down the board,” Smith said. “Everything you see that he does, he does it excellent. He just got here, he’s still got milk coming out of his ears. That’s the phrase we use as just young. Sitting here, I’m looking at his tape and I’m looking for things to be negative about, because especially the last game of the season the Panthers going against the Buccaneers to get into the playoffs, the first thought I had is ‘They better keep their eyes on Emeka Egbuka’ because he can spring you loose and do somethings that you just weren’t expecting.
“For me, I got A’s all down the board because you already know that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, at least as far as this position, they’re in great hands. No sense for me to sit here and try to nitpick him. His play is balling.”
In the first game against the Panthers, Egbuka has only one target its in the 4th quarter and its a 40 yard reception

This is why I don't get too emotional about the Evan's situation. I want Mike back but with the talent we have and the focus that comes from having a smaller room, there may be some benefit to the 2nd and third year guys on the team. I four offense runs through the running game and Cgod, Egbuka, and McMillan, I think I am good with it.
one reason its really tough to stay on top
JSN - "I think I deserve to be the highest-paid at my position, just what I give to the game and the community, I give it my all. And I think that’s worth a lot, lot more. I would play this game for free, I love this game so much, but you don’t have to. I’m learning to be a good businessman, and we need that check at the end of the day.”
