I have sat back and watched this thread and discussion. I would like to stick my nose in the discussion on two points.talking up Trotter in the 2nd are doing it because of their love for the Bucs
is there anyone actually doing that? It seems like it universal disappointment in advance lol
Ive posted on the "why" . . . . why they may have drafted him but because of trying to make sense of it, like most things Bucs
They clearly drafted him to piss the red board off. No real research, just a relationship between Bowles and his old man. Bottom line, this GM team isn’t getting paid enough to really put the effort into talent evaluation. Hopefully soon we will get there. But in the meantime, just another LB who can’t cover and will rack up the tackles, not really making any relevant game challenging plays…
First, I have come up with one unequivocal fact. Knees, you seem to know absolutely nothing about what you are talking about in this thread. You have made such ridiculous statements as "Trotter's film looks better than JRods". Which film did you "watch". I am curious if you watched anything at all or if you are just in here saying stupid shit. It seems like the latter. Trotter's film is nowhere close to looking better than JRods......not even in the same hemisphere......and you know why? Because they are two distinctly different players. I know because I have actually watched games with both players. There is an obvious reason Rodriguez was slated to go late 1st/early 2nd and most of the draft boards that were out there had Trotter as an early 3rd with the exception of a couple that had him late 2nd. Bowles and company liked the Trotter version at LB more than the Rodriguez version at LB. It isn't any more than that and Bowles basically said that (even though I think he's a mouth-breathing idiot).
Second, Trotter is here now. He's our guy whether we want him or not. As I stated elsewhere, I hope he sets the world on fire, redefines LB'ing in the NFL and gives me a 365-day shit sandwich course meal to correct the error in my thinking. I am confident that isn't going to happen but I am going to be his loudest fan when the toe hits the leather. He is drafted, now let's see what he turns into.
Outstanding post.

I’ll trust Licht, Greenberg, Biehl, Cotton, and Hardie as opposed to someone who has watched all the film of both players. Trotter is young, is already showing in camp he can cover and will be a play making machine.
Lakeland must be a tough late May. Travel some.

Not even remotely true.
Atlanta must be a tough late May.
You should try and take a weekend to Oconee or something. Your first wine spritzer is on me.
I will take your childish quip as the latter (as I suspected) and will reinforce the thought that you know exactly nothing about what you are blathering about. And I am not in Lakeland, thank you very much. Tampa Bay football exists outside the Tampa and surrounding areas. As I stated elsewhere, I hope he sets the world on fire, redefines LB'ing in the NFL and gives me a 365-day shit sandwich course meal to correct the error in my thinking

Wherever you must be must be tough this time of year especially grasping with your lack of knowledge of football.
