I normally don't like to do mock drafts, but I wanted to take a shot at one. I think there is a realistic chance Licht trades down in the first round so I can mocking a trade with the Cowboys. The Buccaneers trade #15 to the Cowboys for #20 and #84.
at #20 the Buccaneers take CJ Allen | LB | Georgia
at #46 the Buccaneers take Gabe Jacas | EDGE | Illinois
at #77 the Buccaneers take Davison Igbinosun | CB | Ohio State
at #84 the Buccaneers take Caleb Banks | DT | Florida
at 116 the Buccaneers take Malachi Fields | WR | Notre Dame
at #155 the Buccaneers take Sam Roush | TE | Stanford
at #195 the Buccaneers take Anthony Lucas | EDGE | USC
at #229 the Buccaneers take T.J. Hall | CB | Iowa
I am reading mixed things about Sam Roush. Some mocks have him in this range, others have him in the high 70s to mid 80s. I think most of the other picks have a chance to be there and be good values for the Buccaneers.
What are your mocks? What are your criticisms about these potential picks? I am open to discussion. Under a week to go, folks.
Without being an expert on these players I'm not a fan of this draft style approach
1.) I don't mind trading back to take Allen in theory but he grades as a 2nd rounder for me... I know some mocks have him this early but I'm just not a fan
2.) going edge second round for a guy that is what, the 8th best edge? Is that moving the needle?
3.) don't know enough about the OSU corner but again I know he played on a stacked defense and we already have 3 corners. I prefer to take corners late that can also play ST.
4.)DT depth in the third is a good move I like it
5.) fields and Roush are a hard pass for me..this is where you take scrappy LBs from Indiana or Texas Tech or whatever.
My general approach
BPA for first 2 picks and if that means WR so be it.
2nd rounder almost certainly a LB
Third rounder front seven BPA
4-7 you take corners, LB, or a project wr
I'm really not interested in taking a project TE late. We have 3 JAG TEs we don't need a 4th.
I wouldn't mind taking Allar in the 5th or 6th.
I'd like the approach in the first to be "get a starter that could be a pro bowler". After that you go front seven BPA with a bias toward LB.

My issue was I did not think a tier 1 Edge player was still going to be on the board.
If David Bailey was available at #15 I think you take him. I would not take Rueben Bain Jr., or Akheem Mesidor. I also like Jacas better than Cashius Howell.
3.) don't know enough about the OSU corner but again I know he played on a stacked defense and we already have 3 corners. I prefer to take corners late that can also play ST.
With some of the injuries we had last season, I think taking a corner would be a good choice at this pick. Davison Igbinosun, in particular, is a strong fit for the Buccaneers. Strengths: Elite size and length for the position, Physical press-man coverage, Disruptive at the catch point, Outstanding run support & tackling, 53 career starts (Ole Miss + Ohio State), Quick downhill trigger in zone. The size-length combination — 6-foot-2 with nearly 33-inch arms is genuinely rare at cornerback and gives him tools that can't be coached. His weaknesses are that his game is scheme-dependent. His highest ceiling is likely in a cover-3 defense. He doesn't quite have the hip fluidity to stay with receivers through sharp breaks, and his lean 189-pound frame could make it tougher to match up with bigger receivers at the NFL level. Bowles has a strong history of getting DBs to play well, and I think he could do a lot with a guy like Igbinosun.
If the Bucs don't draft a boundary CB they are in bad shape to head into 2026 season. For a change it would be nice to see a NCB be the same starter from the year before instead of musical chairs. The secondary needs some stability and not musical chairs so keeping Parrish at NCB is worth drafting another boundary CB to backup Morrison and McCollum.

Agreed. They must be drafting a CB

Consistency would help guys play fast because they would KNOW where they are supposed to be and how their fellow teammates will react to specific plays on the field.
I'll challenge anybody to do a free 7 Rd. PFSN mock draft simulator- Consensus board, two trades max, no future picks involved.
My Mock
Two trades on PFSN using Consensus board - I traded with the Eagles giving 15 and 116 for 23 and 54. I then traded with the Broncos 54 and 155 for 62 and 108.
Don't think Banks is a fit. For one he's afraid to fly on airplanes. And the injuries and inconsistencies. It's OK to have a UDFA project like Desmond Watson, but with all the Bucs have to accomplish to turn things around this season they don't have the time and energy to handhold another big guy this year. Look for another eventual Vea replacement DT perhaps Dominique Orange. Otherwise this is a pretty good mock.I normally don't like to do mock drafts, but I wanted to take a shot at one. Thanks, I did not know that about him.

Worked out differently from my manual mock, but interesting nonetheless.

My mock draft that will probably be as accurate as the other mock draft.
RD1 Havn’t Aclue: Intangibles are immeasurable.
RD2 Urguess Asgoodasmine: Unlimited potential
RD3 Butter Fingers: exceptional speed just needs to concentrate a bit more.
RD4 Wrong Way Goldfarb: Just needs to get turned around.
RD5 Idont No: Surprising drop in the draft due to character issues.
RD6 Sum Buddy. A real steal in the later rounds.
RD7 Long Shot: Will make the roster with hard work and dedication.

I think Mr. Shot would be better as a UDFA. In the 7th round, I would rather take his brother, Not Shot. For extra information is middle name is Sure.
Realistically if we want Rodriguez or Allen we'll have to trade up to the top of the 2nd round or trade down to the end of the 1st and take them at that point IMO. We can hope to get lucky, but that's not a plan. I'll be interested in PRs ILB report to see who the Bucs really might target if both of those guys are taken even though I'll bet the farm that Rodriguez will be early rounds Best Bet.I'll challenge anybody to do a free 7 Rd. Don't see them letting that 2nd round kicker Crap Tastik get past them.My mock draft that will probably be as accurate as the other mock draft.
