Offense has Mayfield on the other hand so the offense will be head and shoulders better than the defense for multiple reasons. And if not...Robinson has some explaining to do.

I was agreeing with your position. I was saying that whatever happened with the Bucs and Sapp and Lynch the perception was they were REPLACED. The Bucs were throwing away their stars.
They drafted Sapp's replacement. The Bucs also drafted a first round WR but that change is not perceived like Booger replacing Sapp because Evans did leave the Bucs.

So far in this go around post-Super Bowl the team is the White Knight. LVD stayed on until he retired, Mike Evans left the Bucs, not the other way around. Chris Godwin got the big deal even injured etc.

He played in Denver from 2004 to 2007, and he made the Pro Bowl in 2007, he was also named to the Broncos Ring of Fame. His injury wasn’t an issue.
Gruden & Allen lost 5 premium draft picks and had to only rely on bringing in free agents to fill the roster and the associated cap management issues from caused major problems sustaining talent.
Licht has made mistakes, but has managed the resources and added much better talent and been more competitive with that talent, because of the good will and understanding how to build off of landing Tom Brady, the best free agent acquisition in franchise history. The team understands marketing that championship much better and is a destination for key free agents.
Licht has done a remarkable job to continuing the optimism while losing two of the top 5 Bucs of all time. When Bain fell to us (all Licht), drafted Trotter the cerebral ball hawk, and nabbed Scott in the 4th round, our defense reset and should show marked improvement.

100%. M1K3 expressed his extreme frustration with the status quo when Turd Bowels defense failed to stop a 3rd and 28 vs the Falcons, leading to another close loss. We will hear as Paul Harvey would say "the rest of the story" someday. But I would speculate that M1K3 was fed up with the Bucs FO being satisfied with the Bucs mediocrity during the Bowles regime. M1K3 was offered more money to stay with the Bucs, but he took less money to move on with a contender. Reading between lines, M1K3 no longer considered the Bucs a contender, and he wanted to finish his career on a high note.

They had 6000 total yards of offense last season so he’s telling Mike he will get about 1300 yards in their offense. Mike wants the #s as he closes out his HOF career. He can’t get that guarantee in Tampa. Too many mouths to feed. Simple as this.

I think both can still be true. Just maybe a better situation for him there than here. Including the coaching. Remember how frustrated he looked last year after that 4th down. That to me was the moment that made him rethink Tampa.
