Kyle Shanahan is the best OC in the game, McVay and Reid included. He recruited Mike to be exactly 22% of his offense next season. They had 6000 total yards of offense last season so he’s telling Mike he will get about 1300 yards in their offense. Mike wants the #s as he closes out his HOF career. He can’t get that guarantee in Tampa. Too many mouths to feed. Simple as this.

Jauan Jennings was the 49ers #1 guy last year and he had about 6 targets a game. Why? Your fantastic point about too many mouths to feed with Kittle, CMac, etc.

Evans very well could have his best year yet....but believe his over/under is set at 900-950 yards
I'd probably take the under, pencil in like 2-3 games missed, call it 850 yards and call it 8 TDs.
call me crazy and even though he's in a better offense, i think he'd gotta more targets staying in Tampa if he was worrying about padding stats. If he for some reason think that another ring is better for his HOF resume then better stats, then i guess that's out the window now too with the Rams....poor Mikey

Yes exactly. The Evans parallel to Moss is something Ive posted a bunch. This is another great example. Like Moss, Mike Evans in his prime was an unstoppable man-on-man force, so pretty easy to see the the reality behind that stat. The impact of a play action pass to an Evans deep route: TD or a PI.

Either way, Evans will get some of those opportunities because of the 49ers commitment to running with CMC

He had a career low in yards/reception. And I think his ADOT was actually up in Grizz's offense
He only had 3TDs in 2025, matching a career low, and the TD receptions were all goal line, Jets 5yds, Carolina 1 yard, Miami 4 yard. The classic Evans TD is more like 2022 Panthers game where they were dumb enough to man him up and he scored 3tds, 63 yards, 57 yards and 30 yards.
Even in his best game of the 2025 season (Falcons) his deep pass is a JUMP BALL with Coby Bryant, a 4th round pick. And he was IN CREDIBLE that night.
He deserves credit for adjusting his game to still be a huge contributor (like Moss or Jackson), but he is not often (if at all) using pure speed in 2025 to out stride guys like he did most of his career
