As a professional organization, the Bucs are viewed nationally on a much higher perch than the pudding eater, mouth breathing, battling Jerry Jones’s in Dallas.
It’s tough to hold Tampa accountable for anything prior to the Culverhouse’s selling the team to the Glazers. With the Glazers, we have been a more than respectable franchise.
I really like the Cowboys this season but for whatever reason, Jerry will fuck something up and they will finish behind the Eagles, despite having a better offense.

sure, Brady gave us some "Street cred" and i much rather be in the Bucs situation with 2 championships the last 25 years then Dallas with 0....but i would say Dallas is taken more seriously in the post non-Brady years; probably also viewed as a better franchise.
both teams are a pretender but i think you will see many more thinking Cowboys are a better team/contender this year as opposed to Tampa. Just comes with the over-hype in the Media as well.

In the first 30 years of the Super Bowl era the Cowboys were in the championship game or the Super Bowl 16 times. In the last 30 years of the Super Bowl era, they have been in the championship game or the Super Bowl zero times. Talk about living off of your early reputation.
Tampa is objectively looked at as a franchise who has competitive teams every year and rises up once in a while to grab eternity.

Aikman is describing the actual FOOTBALL PLAYER VIEW ie the NON-casuals view of the Cowboys. A good team wins playoff games and championships over 30 years. The Bucs franchise is OBJECTIVELY better over the time frame (30 years) using the Aikman, non-casual standard.
Keep in mind Biggs has now said that the Cowboys are superior because of their regular season record AND . . the playoffs dont really matter. How's that for some top flight football acumen?
