can use some critical thinking here....
While certainly not the entire reason, did Bowles race play a factor in him ultimately getting the Bucs job back in 2022
wow . . . calling others "dumb" while backtracking?
DiDnT sEe tHAt coMinG!
It was 100000000000000000000000000% predictable that this issue would come up with some posters claiming Bowles had his job and kept it because of race. 10000000000000000% predictable because that is the way things go today. As you said "trump won 2024" lmao. The core belief that you and Biggs share (besides Trump) is that white people are victims of DEI
So, 10000000000000000000000000000% predictable that you guys would raise race. I think you guys interject race on page 16 of this thread. This was on page 13
The HC is always going to be the appropriate focus of fan discontent, so Bowles is a target as he should be and just like every HC in the NFL.
But, if we are being honest (difficult thing for people here even posting anonymously lol) some of the Bowles stuff posted here transcends the Buccaneers and his job as HC.
Just as predictable that both you guys would respond by refusing to own it and attack everyone else instead.
#clownshow
the next step is one of "your ilk" claiming damn liberals interject politics into a football board
bwhwhwhahahahahahahahahaha
Maybe we can get this thread back on to football by dispelling a central CRYING point and that is Coen. I am pasting this here because it lays out the "Bucs didnt choose Bowles over Coen" argument succinctly, so what is wrong with it:
"The Bucs were never going to fire Bowles during a playoff run, risking dividing and distracting the team as it entered the playoffs. So, the Bucs would have had to fire Bowles after losing to Washington and immediately tell Coen they wanted him as head coach while simultaneously advising him he’d have to hang out quietly while Rooney Rule interviews were conducted.
Meanwhile, if the Bucs went that route, they would have had to gamble on Coen not be courted by other teams and that the Bucs wouldn’t be outbid.
There is no salary cap for coaches. And, as reality showed, Coen was pursued with big money and personnel power, the latter which may not have been given to Coen in Tampa."
disagree?

This is an indictment of management. It's def true that they were never going to fire him but it shows that they didn't understand they had lighting in a bottle but instead settled for consistency and continuity.
Because of course, the Glazers are woke mobsters.
That's why I said Occam's razor a few pages back.
What's more likely: settling for consistency and failure to see the future of the franchise because the people you've hired and invested in are a reflection of yourself as a GM and thus self serving.
Or because we desperately wanted to be one of 3 teams with a black head coach?
Like cmon... This isn't the debate you wanna have.
There's no black owners.
There's 3 black head coaches.
There's what, 4 or 5 black coordinators? Maybe more...
25% of NFL players are white yet all the owners and managers are white.
Like WTF are you even fucking arguing here...? (Not you Olaf)
so you just said they kept him because they are borderline retarded.....the same owners that brought us two Lombardi trophies
As compared to keeping him because "they were afraid to fire a black guy?" LOL.
Badabing, just think of the inherent contradiction in your own post (the part in bold)
That SECOND Lombardi trophy was brought to the team by Licht and Arians. And many of the 1st Super Bowl team ( Barber, Brooks, Quarles) some of whom are still in the building are/were true BOWLES supporters. The Glazers themselves also stepped into to give Mayfield that extension, so clearly they saw 2025 as an aberration, right? That would be the expected take also of ARIANS, Licht (he has said as much) . . . the two guys who have the most influence over the Glazers.
To jump to race is just absurd, a point made in TRIPLICATE by the company lmao. "Dave" will no doubt be around soon
some reading material for you
Bruce Arians gave Black coaches real opportunities and won for it. The NFL should take note
Bruce Arians Left the NFL Coaching World Better Than He Found It
"That said, Bruce Arians’s decision to walk away on Wednesday, specifically, as he told former boss Peter King, to give Todd Bowles a crack at coaching Brady and to keep him from a horrifically whitewashed coaching cycle (where he’d almost certainly be low-balled and stuck with a non-competitive quarterback), was about as good as we can ask for nowadays."
ok, let's see if our liberal friends can use some critical thinking here....

come on guys, you are so close.....
But...but he is NICE.
If nice was a factor for being hired for HC job then most coaches would be out of an NFL job. I guess that explains why the Bucs passed on Coen and Monken because neither one is NICE.
