Ledyard on twitter saying the Bucs being 4th in defensive EPA is actually a “lie”.
Can’t give Bowles credit for anythingin 2022, the defense carried the team
Seven of the 8 wins came with the offense scoring 21 points or less. We lost 3 other games where the scores were: 14-12, 20-18, and 21-3.
You want to give Bowles defense credit, i'd give him credit there. However, compare that defense in Bowles first year to what we have seen this and last year. It's gotten worse. That is the opposite of progress and why Bowles should have been let go last year
Make no mistake about it, the Bucs offense is the reason we have went from "mid" to "shit" over the last calendar year of games but that too falls on Bowles. He may be a defensive coordinator but make no mistake about it, he's supposed to be a head coach and he's not a very good one at it
Nice guy, but crazy that they brought him back. Results were worse that anyone could have imagined. shit man
The ONLY reason this team isn’t 4-0 or 3-1 is the QB play.
And coaching and scheme and culture
I've been saying since 2024...Name me one player (FA or drafted) at all be it offense or defense since Bowles took over as HC that has been developed and grown as a player? Licht has brought in some talent, and that talent in quite a few cases has performed well in their rookie season's,but they never grow and take that next step...That is 100% on the coaching staff be it position coaches or assistant position coaches.
I would have said baker but boy did he shoot that to shit last year and start of this year

My point exactly...and that growth was more of a product of Coen(and to a lesser extent Canales) adjusting the scheme and gameplans around him to put him positon to succeed...Yes Baker improved his quality of play over his Rams and Panthers experience, but his style never progressed, he was just in a position under Coen to get in a rhythm early by completing quick short-mid level throws at a high percentage rather than having to play hero because they got too off schedule on down and distance...But ya, Devin White never progressed, AWJ never improved after getting that second contract,Wirfs was bound for greatness(so I don't really consider him, as his play never consistently dropped off, but never really improved after 2022)Bucky,Ebuka,McMillian, YaYa to name a few...All have talent and have shown potential over the years but never really grew and took that next step to being a franchise cornerstone player.
We're all (except JC) saying the same thing.
Players have regressed more than being coached up.
Everyone that has been paid has immediately regressed (ie fat and happy)
The GM looked at the collapse, watched Evans leave, and said yeah this team is ready to compete for a super bowl
Bowles can't win.
The defense cannot generate pressure
Players aren't playing to their strength
We hired an OC that most Falcons fans said was bad but we assumed nowhere but up from Grizz
Baker got paid prematurely
Godwin got paid as a sorry note for leaving him in during garbage time
Weapons aren't being used but for some reason Otton is being featured.
What else?
The GM looked at the collapse, watched Evans leave, and said yeah this team is ready to compete for a super bowl
lol you cant possibly believe that

that's the thing, i am sure Licht/Glazers weren't even setting their sights on a Super Bowl
which again is hard to do...just ask Carolina and Atlanta
Ask the 49ers who have been a contender for about a decade, made it there a couple times and nothing
Ask Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow!
but i digress...their sights were clearly being content on division titles in a weak ass division and now they are struggling to even get a win.
Malcom Glazer had higher expectations with Dungy. We had a championship level defense and an anemic offense. They saw their window.
When the Bucs got Brady, they had a good offense and decent pieces on defense. Add hits in the draft with Wirfs and AWJ in 2 need positions, Gronk and AB, a former top draft pick in Fournette, and wasn't hard to see how stacked that team was. So they ran it back in 2021 after catching lightening in the playoffs in 2020.
and while Baker, even in 2024, was a fine top 10 quarterback, he still was turning the ball over too much to be championship caliber (Brett Favre and Sam Darnold say hello!).
Anything is possible but i just feel the Glazers, Licht, and even Bowles sort of saw post Brady as "house money"....and now the house money doesn't taste too good given the historic collapse last year carrying over to this year.
still, and we all said it at the time, it was malpractice to "double down" on Bowles for this year. Truly spoke to the incompetency of this franchise. All the goodwill you got by bringing Brady to Tampa....washed away with keeping a coach whose time has run out basically throwing away the 2026 season before it even began.

Double down on Bowles
Double down prematurely on Baker
Double down on McCollum
Pay aging Vea
Double down on Godwin while he's hurt
Double down on Otton
Winfield extension I get but he's JAG now

Double down on Bowles…
You could’ve stopped there.
We were NEVER a contender, nor were we EVER going to be one, with him at the helm.

And yet Licht didn't stop there.
He extended Baker and Vea.
He extended Otton.
Full retard
Who’s madder right now, Reynolds of Ledyard?

I just think the Bucs put themselves in a bad spot by not firing Bowles because then they have to do what they can to help Bowles on his last chance but also cant sell out because there will very likely be a change
so much about the Bucs is sort of faux-competitiveness. the illusion of trying to win
Who’s madder right now, Reynolds of Ledyard?
With one good performance by his team in the last 15 games, this ninny wants to give Bowles another extension.
I will forever be in the FIRE BOWLES camp. A win against the Cowpukes does not change that one iota.
