No, he will call shotgun every time it is time to pass the ball.
You are making a weird badabing "11 games" argument, I guess? They ran a lot of shotgun in ATL so that is what he will do here?
How do you completely ignore the circumstances in ATL and his background?
badabing is just spinning wild yarns for a chance to win next season’s Jameis Winston prize. He has a crush on Arch Manning. No, he will call shotgun every time it is time to pass the ball.

Yeah, his pages of drivel were just sophistry.

Now you have me thinking of areoplanes..
Trotter definitely Bowles pick
"I think he’s going have a better career than his dad had, and his brother had, hopefully,” Bowles said.
Trotter’s dad is four-time Pro Bowl linebacker Jermiah Trotter, who also was named All-Pro for the 2000 season alongside Ray Lewis and Buccaneers legend Derrick Brooks.
High bar!
“We think [Josiah Trotter] is very intelligent,” Bowles continued. “He can run. He’s got size. He’s going to strike you. And he’s a modern day football player and we think he’s very physical. I think from a physical standpoint he’s a lot like [Rueben] Bain.”
“He is your classic, old school stack ‘backer … with heavy hands, a physical game, stack-and-shed, contact violence,” Cosell said of Trotter. “I mean, everything about this guy says he’s a mike like backer in a base 4-3 [defense]. … Now he was an excellent blitzer, as well, but I don’t think he’d start his career — even if he’s a starter right away — I don’t think he’d play in your sub [package] early on, but he’s old school. Given who is dad is, that probably doesn’t surprise anybody.”
Another Devin White parallel
“We’re hoping that it’s a mindset, a mindset for us to get back to being a physical front,” Caldwell replied. “And he’s that type of player. He’s a guy that can come downhill use his hands and he’s a physical presence inside.

Because of this you will see a lot of shotgun formations for passing situations. That is how he operates.
KG is a greater asset for a shotgun oriented passing offense that Robinson will want to run. The make or break situation for Robinson will be run formations where he will have Mayfield under center.
“He’s mean. I was happy we got him,” Bucs run game coordinator Larry Foote said. “He is mean. I don’t think since we’ve been here we’ve had that true Mike linebacker. What I mean by that is he’s able to hit the guard and go make the play, and get off very easily. He can strike those guys. It’s a little old school football, I’m quite sure he gets it from his daddy.
“He’s that definition of that Mike linebacker, and it helps you when you have those guys because you don’t have to have a lot of guys in the box. You can go light box protecting the run because you know he can two-gap. He handled his A gap, then get to the C gap.”

FWIW the title of that article is a play on the phrase "spread offense." The article only says he will spread the passing around given all the weapons (as compared to Atlanta). I thought you said pistol all the time for running. Just trying to follow, now its most obvious passing in shotgun? But some under center? That may be right

Hard to say Devin White was "physical" when he rarely took the right angle to square up runners... And he was a giant cry baby

Yep. Trotter is a huge mental upgrade from White.

I think the only player you blew with more gusto than Devin White was the interception machine.

Yes, i think they see the parallel in role but different players, hopefully for the better (ie Trotter's physicality, character)
I know White was very flawed, but the way he performed that role was a big reason for the 2002/2021 defense success:

The eye in the sky don't lie. Double A gap blitzing, almost impossible for teams to run outside OR THROW IN THE FLAT because he ran RBs down, even when he took bad angles.
The 2025 Bucs defense probably the WORST defense in the flat and lacked physicality, so they took a 21 year old fire starter/downhill LB.
May have been a mistake, but it was not THOUGHTLESS.
