The 2025 Falcons were also shut out by the Panthers.
The Bucs held them to 20 and 29 points respectively.
The 2025 Falcons put up 10 points against the 49ers, and Dolphins. And 9 points against the Seahawks.
Zac Robinson is not a good OC and a clear downgrade from Grizzard
The Bucs in comparison were never shut out by the Panthers in either contest.
The 2025 Bucs put 38 points against the Seahawks, 30 points against the 49ers and 17 points against the Dolphins.
The Falcons scored more than 30 points 1 time in 2025 against the Commanders (34 points).,The 2025 Falcons were also shut out by the Panthers.

lol not saying Robinson is the next Coen but he can't be worse then Grizz
Grizz may have gotten a rawl deal with all the injuries this year but fact of the matter is, he had all the weapons in the world the last 4-5 games and was down the interior starting guards and the team was very Pedestrian. Team would have one drive where it looked like the 2024 Bucs and then revert to absolute anemic offense the remainder of the game.
So in the NFL - Not for Long, the Bucs couldn't run it back with Grizz
Things to like about Robinson is that he comes from the McVay coaching tree and has experiencing calling plays
and even though Baker dropped out of the top 10 QBs this year, he's still better than Penix/Cousins combo and QB is important. I dont hate the Robinson selection; it was McDaniels or bust for me; but Robinson to me is better move than like Callahan or some of the other inexperienced clowns they were interviewing
i consider it a win.
Against head to head matchups with common opponents yes Robinson is objectively worse than Grizzard. The Bucs put up 30 points three times during the season why the Falcons did it only once. The Falcons were shut out by the Panthers while the Bucs offense was never shut out over a 17 game period.
The Bucs scored under 10 points only twice (against the Rams 7, and Lions 9). The Falcons scored under 10 points twice 0 against the Panthers and 9 against the Seahawks. But also scored 10 points against Dolphins and 49ers.

You say that and make it seem like Grizz and Robinson were both out there with the exact same pieces on offense. Two entirely different offensive units. Baker is clearly > than Penix & Cousins.
I think the data shows that the Atlanta offense under Zac Robinson actually improved over the last 4 - 5 games when they were forced to turn to aging/immobile Kirk Cousins.
The falcons are the best team in football once they are eliminated from the playoffs. Surprised Jameis hasn't been their QB
As much at Terry F crushed it with the draft last season, he blew it the year before with Penix. He’s a non-event on the leadership side, is injury prone, and is easily rattled. Outside of his obvious arm strength, he’s a complete project. One that Stefanski won’t be interested in.
When are gonna stop prematurely labeling QBs a bust because they weren't in the right situation?
Are you guys ever gonna learn?

Sam Darnold just a recent example

Darnold numbers were not great this year. Very pedestrian like Bakers
But yes, him winning a SuperBowl....and before Baker, Lamar, and Allen would be quite something.
still not sure what to label Baker; clearly if he repeated his 2024 performance, he'd be worth that #1 overall pick selection; but he's been a mixed bag for sure.
Clearly Allen and Lamar top tier QBs, albeit choke when it matters most, but looks like Baker goes to #4 if Darnold hoist the Lombardy.
I'll wait and see with this hire. I just know Kirk Cousins looked good when he filled in for Penix.

But hes in the Super Bowl.
Interesting case study in what it takes and how fine the line is between teams. The NFL is always cycling back through concepts, so in last nights game the strong defense, run the ball and PA pass offense beat the creative play calling of McVay and the arm of Stafford.
I definitely don't think Darnold is great, but to Fire's point, in the right situation he is in the Super Bowl, a Super Bowl that will feature the top 2 defenses, I think, and 2 defensive head coaches
All 4 remaining teams had good defenses. Rams were the weakest.
Are we gonna discredit their QBs as well?
Nix, Darnold, Stafford, and Maye all had good years. They all had varying degrees of weapon but weapons nonetheless, and they all had good defenses.
The formula this year is having the right offensive system, stating aggressive, being able to run the ball to close out games and eat clock, having a strong line, and building an elite defense with play calling to match the talent.
Not like any of that is all that new but still... The days of the QB full on carrying the team despite a bunch of flaws are over

agreed
and not to keep coming back to the Ravens but the part in bold is one thing that makes the Ravens situation interesting because they have a lot of their cap in the QB and, of course, in their heyday they won with defense
By the way, I mentioned in another thread but this is Arian suggesting part of the collapse is Mayfield trying to do too much
Kay Adams: How much was the injury a factor in your eyes in how he played down the stretch?
Bruce Arians: Yeah, I think it mattered, that and we kept blowing leads. And I think he felt like he had to put it all on his shoulders. Early in the year, he had the magic and he pulled the games out. Later in the year he couldn’t quite get it done.”

all four teams had coaches in the top 15 as well; something that will hold the Bucs back
Bowles has not been a top 15 head coach in his Bucs career; he could have changed that narrative this year; imagine an 11-6 record and a playoff win; maybe he gets some credit
but having quite possibly the worst possible outcome for his head coaching career, a 6-2 start followed by a team that looks to be contending for the #1 overall pick; yeah, he certainly didnt improve his standing
