READ OPTION: SPENCE’S ROOKIE YEAR

I asked this question at the end of my Vernon Hargreaves film breakdown, and now I’m going to ask it of Spence.

What was your opinion of Spence’s rookie year? Were you pleased with the kind of playing time he got, or did you think he should have been playing more or less? How about his production? When Spence’s 5.5 sacks and three forced fumbles in 2016 on par with what you wanted to see, or were you honestly hoping for more?

As a follow up question, do you believe that Spence has the ability to be a centerpiece in Smith’s versatile defensive gameplan, or do you think all this 3-4 talk is getting way out of hand? Should the team (and Spence) just stick to the basics and get the most out of what they can be best at?
