The window for teams to begin placing franchise tags on their players opens on Tuesday and according to Ian Rapoport – and as PewterReport.com has reported – Bucs wide receiver Chris Godwin likely will get the designation if no long term deal is reached prior to the start of free agency next month.
Even if Godwin is tagged the two sides could work on an agreement for a long-term deal at any point up until mid-July.
The franchise tag amount is around $15.8million for 2021.
