As they often do before the season begins, Bovada released their odds for who will win  the NFL’s Defensive Player Of The Year.

The good news is that linebacker Kwon Alexander made the list, albeit with low odds at 85/1.

The bad news is neither Gerald McCoy or Lavonte David made it.

Easy money to bet on one of those guys?

Sporting News predicts we’ll go 1-15.
Bleacher Report has us 32nd in their Power Rankings.
Our coaches and all this veteran leadership need to use this to get us fired up.
I get it – last year we were hyped and fell flat. This year Jamies screwed up and we’re dirt.

Vegas must have just read Deadspin’s “Why Your Team Sucks 2018: Tampa Bay Buccaneers”.
If you haven’t had a chance to read it, I highly recommend it! You will laugh if only to stop from crying.

A quick warning…the deadspin article uses lots of profanity and shows a grotesque picture of JPP’s hand. Other than that, it is really funny. Who doesn’t love a good roast?

So apparently classless and crass is the new comedy.
Sorry, nothing in this piece of garbage is funny…..

Dman- It’s a roast. They do it for all teams every year. Lighten up. The comments section has some gems in it as well. One person called Jameis a “pussy grabbing crab thief”. Funny and true!

BucWild02, a friend forwarded that article to me this morning. Funniest thing I’ve read all year, sports related or otherwise!

Thanks pinkstob! I felt bad that the other two posters were so offended by the piece.

Funny? I guess if your an idiot liberal with Trump Derangment Syndrome it’s hilarious. Now the hate for Trump and conservatives is even trickling down to so called “sports” articles. What a bunch of BS.

The hate for Trump is based on the idea that having a deranged, narcissistic, bigoted, ignorant fascist as the leader of this country is usually considered a bad thing. The low information idiot assclowns are the only ones who haven’t gotten the message yet.

Whoa with the name calling Fredster. But since you brought it up… A conservative is a person who believes in conservation. Conservation means judiciously using resources. I can’t figure out which conservative principle Donald Trump exemplifies most. Is it his palace penthouse made of gold in Manhattan? How about his penchant for the sanctity and monogamy of marriage lasting until “death do us part”? Is he most conservative when he’s deciding how many times he will tell the truth in any given day? I can keep going on about how Donald Trump is the ANTITHESIS of conservative. He conserves nothing.… Read more »

So Bradley Chubb( who’s never played a single NFL down) makes the odds list over a perennial pro bowler, and all pro in Gerald McCoy. And makes the list over all around stud LB David. You can’t make that up lol

Hard to call it a snub… A defensive MVP usually would go to a player on a good team, or at least an outstanding defense. If I were a neutral observer, would I expect the Bucs to be winners or the defense to be anything special? No, no I wouldn’t…

If anything, I think JPP has a much better chance at landing the award before McCoy.

JPP just arrived in Tampa. He has a great reputation as a defensive end who generates pressure and can stop the run. If he can help turn the defense around while the Bucs stack some wins, it would illustrate the impact he made.

I love all the doubt we’re getting this year! It’s a sharp contrast from last year and I don’t see how anyone can think that’s a bad thing.
