Pete Prisco of CBSSports released his list of the NFL’s top 100 players prior to the 2019 season, with two Buccaneers making the list.

Coming off of a year in which he hauled in 87 passes for a career-high 1,524 yards and eight touchdowns, wide receiver Mike Evans landed at number 86.

And while 2018 wasn’t the most productive season of Lavonte David’s career, finishing 2018 with one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and three and a half sacks over 14 games, David earned his place on the list just a few spots behind Evans at 92.

With Bruce Arians’ high-powered offense and David moving into a critical middle linebacker spot alongside first-round draft pick Devin White in Todd Bowles newly-implemented 3-4 base defense, we may see both of their productions and ranking move up by this time next year, but only time will tell.

See the rest of Prisco’s top 100 here.

  1. Multiple Bucs, or a pair?

  2. Surely there is a typo, McCoy, is the best player in the league. And there are 9 other DT’s on the list. McCoy didn’t even make the just missed it list? What gives?

  3. 2 players on top 100 list 86th and 92nd
Wow what a power house team Good thing we have the great Bruce Arians to coach them up .
However we have players being paid more than those top 100 listers at least we have that going for the Bucs. GREAT JOB JASON!

  5. That’s a VERY odd looking list. I suppose trying to compare whether a RB is “better” than some DT is always going to look weird, but when I see things like Alvin Kamara as the 23rd best player in the whole league????? No.

  6. ‘Multiple’ sounds so much better than a pair.
It illustrates how personnel on this Team is much softer than fans want to believe.
As if a magic wand with coaching is going to turn us into overnight champions. I guarantee this is not the 2002 Bucs. But rebuilding is never fun to watch.

  7. To be honest beyond Evans we don’t have another player we can argue forcefully for inclusion.

Brate would probably be next highest performer at his position on the team, ahead of David IMO. But no one from either line, or RB, or another WR, LB or a DB.

Maybe that’ll change this season, OJH and Winston have potential but whether they take the next step remains to be seen.

  8. Those ratings are such BS! Evans rates no higher than 86??? I’d take Evans over any receiver, any day, not named Julio Jones!!! What a crock!

  9. Let me add to what I just said. I know this is a top 100 list, and there are 32 teams to pick from. How many receivers have accumulated over 1000 yds receiving over the past 4 seasons?? How many receivers in this league have a 17+ yds per catch average?

The lack of respect for no. 54 is almost as ridiculous, but he did have an off year last season. That being said, if he was on any other team in the league, except maybe Oakland, he’d would’ve made the Pro Bowl multiple times and he’d be listed a hell of a lot higher than he is in this list.

  11. MAYBE..Just Maybe..IF..our Bucs won more games over the last few years, we would have a couple more players in the top 100. But NO..I’m not surprised and neither should you be. Start Winning Bucs!

  12. Suck-ass-slob shut your mouth you whiny crybaby.

These lists are a joke and popularity contest. They do not coincide with wins. The Patriots last years Super Bowl champs and contender for ever had same as Bucs 2 players on the NFL Net 2018 list. So by your retard logic they suck too Slob?

Dallas had 4 players on 2018 list they must be the best guess that’s why they got bitch slapped one and done in playoffs? Lol. Moron.

It’s a Team sport and coaching etc means more than how many “perceived” best players you have.

  15. You’re a clown Bob. We have 2 players, and have 3 others that are right around the top 100 in Suh, JPP; and Howard. Regardless, having players in the top 100 means absolutely nothing! The 10 win Ravens have 1 player, the 9 win Steelers have 2 players. The 11 win Texans have 3 players. The 9 win Titans have 2 players, the 10 win Seahawks have 2 players. And the 8 win Vikings have 3 players. The SB winning Patriots have 4 players, and one of those 4 is the last ranked player on the list. The teams with the most players are the Cowboys at 7 and the Chargers with either 8 or 9. And neither of those teams even made it to championship weekend. So exactly what does this list mean? NOTHING! Absolutely NOTHING!

  16. Jerseybucsfan totally agree. It’s disgusting that Evans is ranked 86th. Disgusting. So he truly believes that Evans is the 12th best WR in football. Behind Hill, Green, Schuster, Adams, Hilton, and Thielen. That’s a complete joke. Only WR’s I’d put ahead of Evans are Julio, Beckham, AB, Hopkins, and maybe Hill. I’d take him over Thomas, I’d take him over Green, I’d take him over Ju Ju, I’d take him over Adams, I’d take him over Hilton, and I’d take him over Thielen. Take Brees away from Thomas, and Rodgers away from Adams and they’re not even in the top 12. If Thielen goes out and replicates what he did last year, I’ll put him ahead of Evans too. I need to see it again from Thielen. At worst, Evans is top 7. At absolute worst
