BUCS’ BEST BET AT DT (EARLY 1-3)
DT Grover Stewart – Albany State – Senior – 6-4, 347 – 5.14
Stewart is a fast riser up draft boards due to the buzz he generated at his pro day, running a 5.14 in the 40-yard dash at 347 pounds. Stewart is a massive man that plays with great power and a quick burst off the ball. But Stewart is not a run-stuffing nose tackle. He’s a huge three-technique defensive tackle that racked up 23.5 sacks, including 7.5 sacks as a senior. His 43 career tackles for loss speak to the caliber of backfield penetrator he is. The Bucs had him for a pre-draft visit and although he is considered to be a fourth- or fifth-round pick due to the level of competition he faced in the SIAC, Stewart is a rare specimen who could sneak into the bottom of the third round. Stewart would need to work on his conditioning if he were drafted by Tampa Bay and probably play around his listed weight of 335. The Bucs have expressed a desire to get bigger along the defensive line and Stewart would help them accomplish that mission.

BUCS’ BEST BET AT DT (LATE 4-7)
DT Josh Augusta – Missouri – Senior – 6-3, 347 – 5.19
Like Stewart, Augusta is a mountain of a man and is also listed at 347 pounds. He’s not nearly the caliber of defensive tackle that Stewart is from an athletic, playmaking standpoint. Augusta is more of a classic run-stuffing nose tackle that eats up double teams. He totaled just four sacks in college, but did have 20 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles for the Tigers that show he can be disruptive and make plays behind the line of scrimmage. His best year was in 2015 when he was a starter, notching 27 tackles and eight tackles for loss. Missouri changed defensive schemes last year and he was a key reserve, notching 23 tackles, four tackles for a loss and a sack. If drafted in the seventh round, Augusta would compete with Sealver Siligia to be Tampa Bay’s backup nose tackle behind Chris Baker.
