The Oakland Raiders were one of the more promising teams in the NFL before losing their starting quarterback Derek Carr to an injury late in the season They were a team that was poised to make a playoff run and had the offensive firepower to keep up with any team in the NFL. After a lot of turnover so far this free agency period, the Raiders will need to gain top talent where ever they can in the draft.

I think that starts with them getting their hands on the freak of nature that is Obi Melifonwu. At 6-foot-4, Melifonwu’s 4.4-flat 40-yard dash and 44 inch vertical jump put him on pace athletically with Julio Jones and Calvin Johnson. Melifonwu can play safety and corner in the NFL, and that’s something the Raiders could use more than a lot of other teams. I think they take his bait in round one.
