The New York Jet’s ratio of departures to arrivals for a team that is looking to acquire talent in many places around the depth chart, is, well, not ideal. 

By not signing any of the quarterbacks who were relatively available, the Jets put themselves in a position where they basically have to take a quarterback at No. 6. The early reports on both Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg have been less than promising, and nothing else really gets better until you have a quarterback in place.
