The Pick: TE, O.J. Howard

Pro Day Result: Alabama

A popular pick here for the Bills is Clemson’s wide receiver Mike Williams, but with him off the board, the Bills will have to look in a different direction. 

Fortunately for them in this scenario, they’re able to pick up one of the few “elite” prospects at his position in the draft class and that is Alabama’s tight end O.J. Howard. The team still has their tight end Charles Clay under contract until 2019, but they do have an opt out year coming up with him after this year. The team could run a mismatch-heavy offense with both Clay and Howard in 2017, then evaluate if Clay is worth keeping the year after.
