The Pick: DL, Jon Allen
Pro Day Result: Alabama
Regardless of where you think Allen’s best projection to the NFL is, there’s no denying that the value of getting his talent outside the To 10 is worth it.
Coming to a spot like New Orleans would be good for him because they don’t mind those bigger edge defenders as we’ve seen with Cam Jordan. So, if he really is an EDGE player, he could fit. On the flip side, if he’s best on the interior (as I project), he and Sheldon Rankins would be a good young duo, too.
