Much of the Bucs’ 2019 season has been centered around what Tampa Bay will decide for the future of quarterback Jameis Winston. On the last year of his contract, the Bucs have to decide whether to re-sign him, give Winston a franchise tag, or let him walk at the end of the season.
Per a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, we have at least one part of the question answered, as Rapoport says the Bucs are expected to bring back Winston in 2020.
The #Bucs are slated to bring back QB Jameis Winston for 2020, sources say. But how it happens — which tag — will be fascinating. My story: https://t.co/7MXeVva4RS

Whether the Bucs decide to give Winston the franchise tag or sign him to a long-term deal remains to seem. If Winston were to get a contract, he’d be the first Bucs quarterback to receive a second contract in franchise history.
Winston has had flashes of ups and downs during the year, as he’s first in the NFL in passing yards with 4,573 and second in the league with 30 touchdowns, but also leads the league with 24 interceptions. Winston has been hot as of late, throwing for 914 yards and eight touchdowns over the last two games.
