At least two Buccaneers’ players now have tested positive for COVID-19, per sources. Earlier this week one Buccaneers’ coach tested positive and two other assistants were quarantined. So add Tampa to the growing list of teams and schools with positive COVID-19 tests.

This comes just days after one of Tampa Bay’s assistant coaches reportedly tested positive for the virus, leading to two other assistant coaches being quarantined. The assistant coach who tested positive was asymptomatic, according to the report, while coaches had recently returned to the AdventHealth Training Center on Monday, June 15.
The Bucs released a statement concerning the positive tests later on Saturday.

The Bucs join a growing list of teams who have now experienced positive tests within their organizations, including the Los Angeles Rams, Denver Broncos, Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, Washington Redskins, Houston Texans and most recently the San Francisco 49ers.
In response to a recent spike in positive tests around the league, the NFL Players Association has suggested that players temporarily cease private workouts with other players, something the Bucs have gained notoriety for in recent weeks as newly-added quarterback Tom Brady has been seen working out with teammates at a local high school.
