Last week we learned that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had hosted Note Dame offensive tackle Quenton Nelson in for a private visit at One Buc Place as part of their 30 private visits for 2018 NFL Draft prospects.

As you would expect, Nelson isn’t the only offensive lineman the Bucs are using a top 30 visit on, as we have now learned from Omar Ruiz of NFL Network that the Bucs will also host UTEP guard Will Hernandez, at some point, and have already put him through a private workout.

Hernandez started all 49 games of his collegiate career at left guard from his true freshman year to his senior season. He’s a seasoned bulldozer kind of offensive lineman who showed off his power at this year’s Senior Bowl. Hernandez is currently being projected as a late-first to early-second round pick.

Like this a lot. My ideal scenario- trade back with the Bills, get Derwin and Guice in the 1st, then Hernandez in the 2nd.

Or if Guice isn’t there (think the Lions might draft him) get Hernandez instead, and best running back available in the 2nd.

Seems they’re definitely preparing themselves to target guys they like at #7 as well as guys rated mid to low 1st’s as well if they end up trading down.

I’m not so sure that Hernandez will last until the second?

Yeah probably not. In their most recent mock a few days ago, Kiper had him going to the Falcons at 26, and McShay said to the Vikings at 30. But I also saw him go mid-2nd in a different mock on nfl.com so it could happen.

Unfortunately at be this point I don’t see him making it out of the 1st round. I love that they’re still looking for another stud Guard. He’d be a hell of a consolation prize if we can miss Nelson and trade down.

Yo TB Chucky! Why don’t you let me know the other 31 players that will be picked with him in the 1st round…..

He’s good! But, he is not a TOP 32 TALENT!….,. High 2nd rounder!

Wynn will be moved to OG when he arrives in the NFL and he’s played across the OLine at Georgia! So, at that point the TOP OG’s in this draft to me starts with Nelson #1, and then the ability of moved OT to OG at the next level and that makes to me Wynn #2 arguably Hernandez is TOP 5 depending on where you can see other OT’s being moved inside!

Last night, I again watched complete game video of Nelson, Wynn and Hernandez against top ten teams from this past season. Nelson is by far the best; he is a physical beast, he has great technique and he is smart. Wynn is a bit behind Nelson in technique, but he is close physically. Hernandez looks v
