The NFC South division is loaded with a star studded group at quarterback between Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Matt Ryan and Teddy Bridgewater. Of all four quarterbacks, Brady is the new guy in the division after signing with the Bucs.

While most of these quarterbacks have not played often against Brady in their careers, Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan did take on Brady on the biggest stage of them all in Super Bowl LI, which is most known for Atlanta blowing a 28-3 and Brady winning his fifth of six Super Bowl championships.

Ryan will now face Brady twice a season for at least the next two years, and he is welcoming the challenge that comes with it, according to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“It’s going to be a tough division, no question about it,” Ryan said in the article. “Tom is a great player. Anytime you add a guy who has won that many championships, won that many games, you know he’s going to be tough to beat.”

Though Ryan doesn’t have to prepare for Brady himself given that they play the same position, he is going to play against a Bucs defense that has brought back Shaq Barrett, Jason Pierre-Paul and Ndamkung Suh. With another year under Todd Bowles as defensive coordinator, and the continued growth of players such as Jamel Dean, Sean Murphy-Bunting and Devin White, the Bucs’ defensive unit is a group that won’t be easy to deal with.

“Their team was tough last year,” Ryan said. “Their defense was really, really good. Real tough to go against. I expect them to be really good (and a) tough competitor. Same with New Orleans. Same with Carolina. The division has been tough for a long time.”
