Dammit…

Please just take the three days and get it over with during the worst stretch of the season. Don’t be like E. Elliott and put it off until late in the season.

I think he should appeal and reduce it if possible.

This is straight bs. He’s being suspended for being innocent. I’m really sick and tired of women going around falsely accusing men of crimes and come to find out it was either made up or the man was innocent and no actions are taken against the woman that reported it. Now this will go against Winston and give him an even worse outside reputation that he already has.

The Uber driver hasn’t given her full name to media, filed a police report, or filed suit against anyone. She isn’t gold digging or targeting Jameis. His drunk butt did something really aggressive and stupid while waiting in a drive thru and grabbed the poor girl in the crotch. She reported it to Uber because she felt he was a danger to other female drivers. He will pay a price on the technicality of not reporting the incident to the NFL. 3 games. He’s lucky it wasn’t worse. He could have criminal charges against him. He could have a been… Read more »

I don’t care. Get her Done!! We are sick of the yet..more excuses club. Plug Fitz in and lets win. This snakebite team must find ways to win. No pity for Jameis. he’s always doin stupid stuff. Meanwhile over there in Tenn..Mariotta is sippin on Ice Tea (with no crab legs), preparing to take his team to another playoff berth and beyond. I’m still saying, If Koetter and Smitty finish less than 8-8? Bring in Clint Eastwood and..Hang;em High!!!!!!!NO EXCUSES BUCS!!! Tired of Losin.

Yeah Mike Wright, because the Tennessee Titans made the playoffs because of Mariota lol. I’ll take a QB who throws twice as many TD’s as INT’s over a QB who throws more INT’s than TD’s any day of the week, and twice on sundays. Marcus Mariota is the absolute PERFECT example of football being a team sport. See how it amazing it is when a QB has a great OLine, great running game, a league average defense, and a semi competent kicker. Put Mariota on the Bucs and they would have been lucky to hit 3 wins

This is crazy based on what information has been released so far. I would appeal.
We’re going nowhere with the backups we have. No way we can win these initial three games without Winston. This is so disruptive and unfair for the team and fans!

Look what Philly did without Wentz. It’s been done before, it can be done again. No excuses, period.

Violating the personal conduct policy is very vague. I assume they mean “Failure to report.”

Also, what the fuck does this mean: “Winston’s suspension could be increased if he fails to meet certain undisclosed requirements expected to be imposed by the NFL.” Does he have to attend mandatory “learning how to report” training??

He should definitely appeal, at least so he can play the first part of the schedule. Maybe get it reduced to 2 games against the Browns and Bengals.

I agree with BD-W appeal until the B + B games

So basically no one else came forward to say I was the person in the front passenger seat? So basically the commissioner doesn’t believe 2 FSU players who both are starters in the NFL?

If Jameis is guilty, you’d think the suspension would be much longer than 3 games.

He groped a woman while drunk. Over her clothing. 3 games should cover it. She isn’t filing charges or a lawsuit. It’s insulting to her and another stain on him. He should apologize, be thankful he is a millionaire athlete, take his 3 games and move on.

That should tell you its not for “failure to report” … if 3 games didnt tell you its more than not reporting… the fact that he has to meet certain requirements or else face suspension again should of been the red flag… He is suspended for his behavior… not saying he is actually guilty… but this is about his behavior off the field.

Trevor, can he appeal?

There’s zero reason to. The system is irrevocably rigged against the player when the suspension isn’t spelled out by the CBA. Brady and Elliott are perfect examples of it.

There’s no reason??

What about the fact that they’re ALL obviously guilty of their charges!

Spygate wasn’t fake news. They were recording the other teams signals.
Brady destroyed his phone which had his text messages to the ball boy.
Elliot’s victim maintained her story until outside pressure got to her at the end.

Jameis is IMMATURE. He’s been that way. He was away from home, trying to get some strange and got rejected! Then he got himself reported and his Uber account suspended because he groped her crotch. Nice moves Jameis!

Guys, relax! Jason Licht did an incredible amount of research when we selected Winston with the number one overall pick.

Winston will NEVER have any trouble with alleged sexual assault of women after what happened in college. Just trust the HOF GM and a the work he did. Certainly nothing that would affect his availability, lol.

Reminds me of Ezekiel Elliot’s situation, doubt an appeal will work. Our first 3 games are tough..Fitzpatrick is capable, but if they do not win any of those games they are in trouble.

Completely outrageous based on what we know. I’ve never seen an organization hurt its own brand more than the NFL.

Let me be perfectly clear. I am a diehard Jameis Winston supporter – have been from the day he was selected as Bucs QB. And I continue to believe in his skills as a QB realizing there was much growth ahead. But Let me assure you that in no way would I be accepting of lying or willful deception to cover over a wrongdoing. I am hoping that Winston is just guilty of poor judgment from an immature young adult – but lying under duress is different. In my mind that goes to another whole set of values – values… Read more »

I agree with you. It’s one thing to admit to your wrongdoing, it’s another thing to deny it when you did do it. Obviously he was the person in the front seat not in the back seat as no one has come forward to say they were in the front seat. I am like you and very disappointed and might be ready to accept the fact that we might need to trade him.
Never thought I would say those words, but if he is lying then he needs to go.

I’d like to get some definitive information. As is typical with the NFL, Goodell is judge and jury. There’s no due process, just an assessment of how he determines this will be perceived by media. And I’m gonna stick with Jamies on this. You don’t come out with such a strong statement of denial if you’re guilty. The decision to not appeal in no way is an admission of guilt. The NFL has proven that guilty or not, they crush you, period. Ask Brady, Kraft, Zeke, Jerry. The NFL has become a political, social and media cesspool. Just tired of… Read more »

Finally we have a closure on this matter!
Let’s now prepare for those games without #3 and see what consequences this suspension brings.
I believe in Fitzpatrick to bring us a couple of W’s in the first 3 games and, if necessary, to make us a contender this season.
There is no rush to judge Jameis right away.
Go Bucs!!!!

This is awful. 3 games? Roethlisberger got 6 games but had two of them lifted. I hope they appeal.

Many folks believe we were destined to lose those three games anyway. As Ronde would say, “it is what it is.”
