FAB 4. NO CHANGES FOR BUCS OFFENSIVE LINE, NO SURPRISE!
The Buccaneers re-signed center Joe Hawley this week, insuring that all of last year’s starters would be back in 2017, in addition to J.R. Sweezy, whose back is healthy after spending the 2016 season on injured reserve.

To all the Bucs fans who lamented that the offensive line needed to be upgraded in free agency or the draft – or both – this offseason I have four words for you.

See, I told you.

Back in January.

(That’s Hawley laughing at you in the picture, by the way, and Evan Smith standing there in stunned belief that you didn’t listen to me.)

And Dirk Koetter and Jason Licht have also told you all offseason that they liked the personnel on the Tampa Bay roster. They told PewterReport.com at the Senior Bowl and they said it again at the NFL Scouting Combine.

But you don’t listen.

You insist that this young offensive line (Donovan Smith and Ali Marpet were second-year starters last year, Kevin Pamphile was a first-year starter) needs to be overhauled. The Bucs think the existing talent simply needs to improve.

Maybe you should listen to the analysis on the Bucs offensive line and the upcoming battle royale at the center position from Mark Cook, Trevor Sikkema and I as we ramble on for 20 minutes about it in the debut of the Pewter Nation Podcast by clicking here.

Enjoy.
