The Buccaneers signed free agent Ndamukong Suh last week but since then there has been no public comment from the former Lion, Dolphin and Ram.

Until now.

Suh is currently in France celebrating his recent engagement but spoke to the Tennis Channel, and commented on signing with the Bucs.

“I’m very excited,” Suh said. “I actually had the opportunity to talk very deeply with coach Todd Bowles, as well as Bruce Arians, two elite coaches that I’ve had great interactions with in years past. I like being part of things you can build, and be able to put them over the top. Hopefully my talent, as well as all the other guys — former Nebraskans, Lavonte David— we can play together and change the game there, and get us to a winning situation.”

  3. Very excited about having this Mr. Suh in Tampa Bay. He is going back to his natural 3 technic this season after playing nose with the Rams last season. Paired next to an up and coming player like Vita is going to be fin to watch. This is going to be a big season for Noah Spence aswell, I think he is going to shine as an OSB.

  4. Damn glad the Bucs finally have Suh. I’ve always enjoyed his brute nature and his weekly highlights. Pairing him with Lavonte David is exciting. Playoff push coming!!

If there was ever a Bucs player that deserved to make the playoffs as he TRULY carried the defensive load, it’s David.

Suh seems very refined. He was getting married in France to his news anchor fiancé. He has a real relationship with billionaire Warren Buffet. He speaks eloquently and is an upstanding citizen. I frickin love this signing. What a difference one player makes.

  7. Curious that Suh isn’t listed on the team roster yet. They usually list new players on there within 2-3 days after signings, trades, and drafts. Then they list their numbers within a week or so after that.

  8. We all know Suh is a..One yr rental. But..if that improves this past performing sorry Defense..I’m all in.
Just hope we can get another guy like Nassir off of the waiver wires at DE later on. If Our defense can just get 50% better, we win a lot of close games.

  10. The uninformed public perception of Suh is that he’s a low intelligence thug. Just watching one video of him on the Tennis Channel, before our own News Channel 8, it’s clear he is no Swaggy Baker.

I suspect he’ll enjoy his vacation and be formally introduced at next week’s Mini Camp.

  11. @scubog I agree with your perception of public perception! Extra thumbs up! This was a good signing by Licht and I believe he will be a strong anchor against the run, positionally versatile across the line, and will even occasionally tip a pass because he gets his hands up(FINALLY!! HOORAY!!!)

I can’t wait to watch this defense put a hurtin on the division foes this year!

  12. In the Paris interview, I noticed Suh wore no Batman regalia. That in itself was encouraging. Suh came off as mature and focused. This is a good sign of things to come.

  13. So why am I getting Thumbs down for making a neutral observation that they had yet to list Suh on the roster. I’ve seen them list camp fodder the same day they were picked up. This was a legit observation. He’s on it now without a number assigned, but he wasn’t on it last night when I checked.

  14. Buc up you really need to know why you got thumbs down. You are talking about something so irrelevant. Like the guy in school who keeps asking questions that have nothing to do with anything. Making the class longer and boring. He is signed he is a buc. Who cares he isnt listed on bucs website yet. like any other buc fan keeps refreshing the roster all day to see when suh is officially listed. But about the article I was really impressed with this interview. I never watched a suh interview and came away very happy with how eloquent he speaks. He seems like a mature player who has his life in order and is going to go about his job in team first veteran manner. But yet when he staps the helmet on he becomes the beast you have to be to succeed in pro football. I always agreed with Ian Beckles you have to have dogs on your team. You want nasty guys when the game begins. And I think that mentality will spread like wild fire versus the last mr nice guy mentality we had before
