Davis, Stewart, and Hargraves to start? Lets hope so. Stewart has been a beast. Davis has been a PBU machine. Hargraves has been…better.
Yeah, but that’s a tough way to start a career- on the road, against a division opponent, with a high- powered passing game… an upset will be even sweeter now
Hopfully they will play a lot of pressman now might turn out to be a real positive
I’m holding my breath until the game is over. If we ever needed an overwhelming Defensive line it is now. I hope Brees is running for his life the entire game.
I’m going to sit here and hold out hope. If they win it will be the greatest win in years. Think about it, they could be in sole possession of #1 in the Division. They have no business beating the Saints but anything can happen in division games with the greater familiarity. All fans know that this team has not reached it’s full potential in years. Maybe this is the year. Maybe it’s like ’99 when they beat the 49ers in wk1 as underdogs and finally broke out to the next level. Maybe the young db’s do enough, maybe the… Read more »
It was 1997, not 1999. Be careful some of these folks don’t call you a “homer”.
That’s right it was ’97 not 99. I was 20 that weekend and moving out on my own to St. Augustine for the first time. I was watching the game and unpacking what little I had. I met a guy in the parking lot and we talked about the game and he told me that Princess Diana died. Surreal times.
thewbacca, they had no business beating the Saints in the final game of the season but they did. And they did it with Winston throwing I think 3 INTs trying to force the ball into Evans so he could get his 1000 yard season. I like Winston, but dude, this isn’t college. Get off Evans all the time. The loss of Grimes is bothersome. Not only for this game but for the upcoming season. He barely played in the preseason because of an unexplained injury and now here he is again, sitting in the tub. Age has caught up on… Read more »
Lot guys didn’t play like rookie Vea so not sure age caught up with Grimes. Shit happens. Will see I guess.
I like Stewart and Davis a lot. They both have lot confidence which is good. This will be a tough first game but hey time to pit up or shit up as they say.
No reason for smith to not play more press coverage now right? Will see I guess.
