After five years with the Bucs, the organization’s first overall pick in the 2015 draft, Tampa Bay will be moving on from quarterback Jameis Winston after landing Tom Brady on a two-year contract earlier in the week.
Winston was more than just a quarterback in Tampa, he had become a large part of the city itself. Winston was the face of the Bucs, built a life in Tampa, started a family in Tampa and frequently worked within the community through Jameis Winston’s Dream Forever Foundation.
With his future destination still to be determined, Winston wished Tampa and Bucs Fans farewell via Twitter on Saturday.
It's been a great 5 seasons as a Buccaneer. All love and respect, I love Tampa and I look forward to seeing y'all again in February. #SBLV #2020Vision #Dreamforever pic.twitter.com/MIPiCfreXW
