Tavarius McFadden! Sign him as undrafted FA. 6’2″ 205 CB
McFadden is tall and long and plays the ball well in the air. But — Doesn’t run well and does not cover unless he gets a jam at the line. Not a big deal one way or the other if they take him or not. He was clearly not reliable in college. Reincarnation of Myron Lewis.
Those are things that can be coached. Yes 2017 was a bad year for him, but in 2016 is what tied for the lead in the country with 8 INTs.
Some things can be coached but when you don’t run well that is hard to coach. Also in 2016 he had a lot of bad plays too. That is why QB’s threw his way a bunch.
He is fine as a UDFA.
Guys to Consider:
FSU RB Ryan Green
LSU RB Darrel Williams
Auburn ILB Tre’ Williams
Auburn EDGE Jeff Holland
C. Michigan EDGE Joe Ostman
Stanford CB Quenton Meeks
FSU CB Tarvarus McFadden
Dubuque CB Michael Joseph
Southern CB Danny Johnson
Georgia State CB Chandon Sullivan
S.D. State S Kameron Kelly
S. Alabama S Jeremy Reaves
NC State G Tony Adams
I’ll take them all! Great list
Looks like they are all gone except for the two RBs: Williams and Green, ILB Tre’ Williams, and CB McFadden. Like Igwebuike best from our list so far as a guy that can stick on special teams and maybe fit into a LB spot on sub packages.
Vikings, Jaguars, Eagles, Redskins have come away with the best signings so far.
Eddy Piniero K, UF.
Sign him as a udfa if he doesn’t beat out the competition no loss but we need to improve kicker
Sign Him Immediately if now sooner
Yes!!
Simmie Cobbs / Tegray Scales, very good players that don’t get much exposure because they play for Indiana, but these two can straight out play ball
You’re right about Cobbs… only saw him a couple times, but kept making plays and has that”it” factor.
Tennessee beat us to Akrum Wadley of Iowa. I think could have beat out Sims.
I went to high school with Erv. That is crazy. He is explosive like a tavon austin type of player can play receiver or running back.
Do you know if he is a PR/KR? We could really use one of tose.
Also, would love USF DT Bruce Hector.
Agree Spartan! I also would have Q. Flowers he can play Football as a special team return punts and in a emergency RB . I hope this never happens BUT if 2 QB’S go down maybe step in.
I am so glad that we got Igwebuike at S! Have not seen a lot of him, but his measurables are off the charts. Most places he had a 4th or 5th round grade. Not sure why he dropped this far, but I’m gald he’s here. Perfect fit as an UFA, if he makes the team great, if not, no wasted draft pick by Light. Hopefully, he is coachable, he sure has the speed and explosiveness. Would also love to have RB Green from FSU, they need to have Jameis call him up or something. I think he would also… Read more »
Only 11 spots to 90. Already signed 3 TEs. Got 4 on roster now if you consider Alan Cross a hybrid TE/HB. TE is not the first place I would think they would be looking to improve. But you never know there could be another Brate out there.
Macabee, agree. I like the competition for Griffin’s job at QB!
Maybe, this is a long shot but, what if these TE are gonna be converted into DEs?
Wow, that is a lot of TE’s already… Interesting. Hope we get a couple of KR types to compete and maybe another DE or 2, can never have too many DLinemen, especially in Florida. I am curious to see who else we get to compete at the RB position also.
Vikings, Jaguars, Eagles, Redskins winning at the UDFA game so far.
Riley Ferguson, nice! Hopefully he can replace Ryan Griffin.
Why is quentin flowers not getting chance at QB rather than memphis QB? Better than Riley Ferguson?! Next questions to ponder now is: #1 How many of our draftees get on the final 53 man roster? Really strong class, could all of them get positions? Obviously not likely, but even our late picks overall look solid and have a chance to make difference. #2 Did we do enough to get over 50/50 record, and do we have a real chance at playoffs? I’m buying! GO BUCS! Great job Licht!
6’3″ 220 vs 5’11” 200 ??
They’re career passing stats are similar, but Flowers rushing stats are far superior.
Bucs have 4 for sure draftees who will make the team. The rest are gonna have to work..real hard to make it. And 2 are for sure..LONG-SHOTS!!! Disappointed we did not go after another DE. But there is always the waiver wire. I have no confidence in..Mr Spence!!
You are high if you think Spence isn’t good enough to keep. As soon as he’s finally 100% he’ll be one of the best on our D line. He never had this much time to heal before.
It is way too early to tell, but I think this has the possibility of being one of the better Buc Drafts in a long time, and that is saying something considering the last few that we have had. I believe we addressed all areas that needed help. And at least on paper, we are a stronger team. I for one cannot wait to see our new Defensive line and secondary in action. As much as I like Cappa, I feel for him in Camp trying to keep a guy like Via out of the backfield. I know he is… Read more »
https://www.nfl.com/prospects/donnie-ernsberger?id=32462018-0002-5601-31fd-ee5572a8f02b
Donnie Ernsberger is listed above as a TE but he worked out at the combine as a RB. So he is most likely a FB / Hybrid Back to compete against Alan Cross.
The Undrafted Free Agent signings are always interesting. History suggests that one or two will make the team. As much as some of you think Jason Licht doesn’t know as much as you do; he certainly has succeeded in this area. Adam Humphries and Cameron Brate are two examples of his dive into the college player dumpster and coming out with a couple of donuts.
Easy to find donuts in the dumpster, harder to find edible ones though.
Scubog, so agree
scubog and FLBoy84, those are both hilarious!!
Mark Dominik signed Michael Bennett LeGarrette Blount and Demar Dotson all during their rookie years when they went undrafted. Is anyone accusing Dominik of being a good GM scubog? 😂
Which group are you taking? Slot receiver and pass catching TE or multiple pro bowl and SB winning DE, SB winning starting RB who led the league in TD’s and long time starting RT?
Let’s not look at success or failure in a vaccum but rather compared to Jason’s peers.
True, although he lucked up with brate. If saints had kept him we would’ve been out of gas. We had him, released him then got him back.
Q. Flowers best position might be R.B., or W.R. at the NFL level. He’d be our second best R.B. if he was willing to play there. Like the drafting of the receiver from Penn. Could Hump be trade bait down the road? Brate got his deal, Adam didn’t.
Looks like they are serious about a back up QB. Like the fact that a lot of Defensive ends are still a priority too. This appears to be a great draft class so far! Go Bucs!
Surprised they’re not signing more RB’s.
maybe they actually go back to NFL FA and grab CJ Anderson or O Darkwa for an experienced back-up??
Looks like Philly, Vikings, and Jags won the UDFA game: Philly got: Josh Adams, RB, Notre Dame Bruce Hector, DT, South Florida Joe Ostman, EDGE, CMU Jeremy Reaves, S, South Alabama Chandon Sullivan, CB, GSU Toby Weathersby, OT, LSU Vikings got: Holton Hill, CB, Texas Hercules Mata’afa, DT, Washington State Tray Matthews, DB, Auburn Korey Robertson, WR, Southern Miss Roc Thomas, RB, Jacksonville State Jags got: NC State G Tony Adams Stanford CB Quenton Meeks Iowa State WR Allemn Lazard Others notables I wold have liked: FSU RB Ryan Green to Jets LSU RB Darrel Williams to Chiefs Aurburn ILB… Read more »
Good thing is not all these guys will be sticking with the teams that signed them, so Bucs may have a second chance at some point.
