When draft weekend wraps up, some fans think it will be an eternity of a few months before they can see their team’s new rookies out on the practice field. But that’s not the case. This weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) the Bucs will host their annual Rookie Mini-Camp to get a first look at their new players.

The Rookie Mini-Camp doesn’t just include the players that were drafted, but also the undrafted free agents who have signed with the team, as well as a number of players who will be in for tryouts, too.

Via the Buccaneers’ press release, these are the 58 participants for the Bucs 2018 Rookie Mini-Camp.

Guess they are looking for the best available TE that can block and catch, and be a FB type of lead blocker. Can never have too many to compare. They obviously want to see if any of them have a chance to be better than A Auclair. Haven’t really watched him at all, but from what I read, it seems like Ernsberger might have a chance. I really like some of the small school guys that are getting a chance. I wonder if J Zema has any chance to be our punter? We have a new kicker so there isn’t… Read more »

I’m all for Zema!! Incarnate Word is about 5 miles from my house in San Antonio. Also rooting for Moore, I used to live about 20 miles from UNT when I lived in the Dallas area.

Seems like they wanna upgrade the H-back spot that Alan Cross plays. Maybe AuClair as well, but I think they liked what they saw from him last year.

Tryout players with a good chance to make the 90 man roster: R Freguson, J Huff, D Price and J Zema.
UFA with a chance to make the team: D Ernsberger, E Phillips, A Allen or R Ferguson, G Igwebuike, S Wilson and C Boozer.
My favorites are E Phillips, G Igwebuike, S Wilson and C Boozer. D Price is very interesting but I believe that, even if we like him, we try to stash him away on the practice squad for 1 year.

Very curious to see E Phillips and S Wilson in camp. They both look to be very quick and have a chance to really help our depth at WR and RB. Also wondering if they see Wilson as a PR/KR? I think he did some returns in college, and we really need help in the return game. Humphries is OK, but lacks any real speed, he is not really a threat to take it all the way unless it is blocked perfectly.
