Running back Russell Hansbrough and linebacker Josh Keyes are back with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The team announced the players’ addition to the practice squad Wednesday. After receiver Jeremy Butler was promoted to the active roster Tuesday, the practice squad was down to nine players. The signing of Hansbrough and Keyes pushed that number to 11 and wide receiver Jonathan Krause was released from the 10-player max practice squad.
Hansbrough was with the Bucs throughout training camp and much of the preseason, where he gained 50 yards on 22 carries and caught seven passes for 32 yards.
After appearing in all four games this season, the Bucs waived Keyes on Monday before bringing him right back Wednesday. Most of his work came on special teams and he is credited with three tackles.
