  1. I was one of those who had high hopes when Les Steckel was brought in as OC by Dungie, “back in the day”. We old-timers know how that turned out!

Dungie was ultimately fired and Gruden was brought in to put the Bucs “over the top” and bring home the Lombardy Trophy.

    C’est la vie!

  2. I have to agree that I would be shocked if the Bucs are firing on all cylinders with the first game of the year. Bucs starters haven’t played as a complete unit for a long time but the veteran players are pros.

Hopefully Monken remains the play caller as his aggressive first down passing approach is putting the Bucs in favorable down and distance situations thus far.

Until Jones becomes a dual threat in the passing game teams are going to aggressively shoot gaps knowing the Bucs are telegraphing a run when Jones is in the game. That is why Shaun Wilson has proven to be a deadly weapon on third downs as a runner as well as a pass catcher.

  3. It’s preseason. And, they’re not showing anything. They put Ronald Jones and Noah Spence in bad situations and hope they don’t get hurt!

Ronald Jones performance still doesn’t make much sense when you see Shaun Wilson running around.

Pierre Paul hasn’t looked like a sack killer anymore than Noah Spence. No, the Bucs are not showing their hand; they’re low-ballin.

  4. Pretty negative podcast. Sounds like Pewter Report thinks the Bucs are in for a rough year. If they are correct the Bucs will have a new GM and coach next year.

  5. Honestly, you guys have to be kidding. Cichy will not make the practice squad. If we don’t sign him to the 53, he will either not clear wavers or will instead choose to go to the Packers Practice squad. They are looking to solidify their LB position and would love to sign him…and he is a Wisconsin boy, meaning he would choose the Packers over us in that situation.

  6. Flash.. sorry man…every time we think the Bucs are “low balling” that doesn’t seem to be the case…it is just what we are.

  7. How was Spence put in a bad spot? He went against scrubs, and was again a non factor, add him to the list of 2nd round busts by Licht. I just re watched the game paying most of my attention to Spence, and Cappa. Spence got stone walled by a bunch of no bodies, time to move on. Cappa to me looks a tick to slow to play in the NFL. Just about every snap the D lineman got to him before he could get to them. That shouldn’t happen when you know the snap count. He did O.K. at pass pro, but rarely knocked anyone off the ball. He almost caused a safety whiffing a block on Flowler. Did he master playing R.T. that someone
thought it was a good idea to move him to center for the second half? Part of the problem with our O line under Licht is he trys to draft versatility instead of starters. We needed a R.G., and future R.T. going into the draft, and he moves up to draft a guy who played neither in college, worse yet didn’t play against any talent. There had to be a player available in the 3rd round who did it at a high level against real competition, but no Licht had to find that diamond in the rough. Right now Cappa is a lump of coal.

  8. It does sound pretty negative but they are kind of limping into game 1. So many players didn’t get playing time in pre season. Our Back up QB is starting against 3 great teams first 3 games. It’s hard to not think 0-3 start.

Are they not showing anything on D line or do they have anything? Lol. Remains to be seen.

As far as Jones I don’t see much better statsfor the other 2 guys. All 3 yards per carry or less. Wilson had 1 good run last night. Take that away he averaged around 3 per carry all 3 games he played in. Yeah better than Jones but I don’t see defense hitting him on backfield either. Bad luck I guess for Jones. Some worst O line play been on his snaps the tape doesn’t lie.

  9. Agree on Cappa. If he was 5th rd pick different story. This looks like possibly bad3rd re pick. Hope he improves quickly.

Spence is terrible. Have to wonder if guy is hurt he’s so bad. They put him in because he didn’t play last year and had no production all pre season. Thought he could get going against scrubs. Not!

  10. you guys talk like you write. Very flowery and extremely long winded. I tried to listen to this podcast and I just couldn’t. Too many attempts at lame jokes and absolutely no substance. I stay here because every once in a while you offer something worth reading or listening to. I think you guys have too much time on your hands.

  12. All I know is the D-line needs to burn up in the first three games because what I saw in the pre season was a let down.

I know the offense will be trying to put points on the board but that defense scares me.

  13. usually what happens when a player goes from star to invisible is there’s some personal matters in the background. Hard to believe; but, it’s always hard to know these things.

  14. Get ready folks, another long year for us. 6,7 wins? maybe. NFC South rankings, 4th offense, 4th defense, 4th special teams, 4th coaching staff. Let’s hope we can draft a QB in 2019 draft.

    • Cappa Div 2 picked in Rnd 3?

Look at Jacksonvilles Picks vs ours – SEC vs Div 2

So tired of this idiot Licht, Koetter is not the issue, but he is not going to survive this season. No one will thanks to heir Roger G railroading our QB and team in the 3 first games against playoff teams
