After releasing Vernon Hargreaves earlier on Tuesday, the Bucs have promoted rookie cornerback Mazzi Wilkins to the 53-man roster, per Greg Auman.
Wilkins, a Tampa native who played his high school football at Plant and college football at USF, signed with the Bucs as an undrafted free agent. He had an impressive training camp and preseason that earned him a spot on the practice squad when the season started.
