The Bucs are bringing back another player from the team as they have re-signed cornerback De’Vante Harris on Friday. Harris posted a picture to his instagram confirming the move.

Harris was not tendered by the Bucs at the start of free agency, but still ended up rejoining the team and bringing depth to the secondary. At age 25, Harris will be part of a very young corner back group with Carlton Davis at only 22 years old and Vernon Hargreaves at 23.

Starting his NFL career with two years on the New Orleans Saints, Harris had his first season with the Bucs in 2018. He played in 10 games and started in one last year while notching nine tackles and having three pass breakups on the season.

  2. Boy are we light and inexperienced at CB even if we draft one in first round. I dont see any veteran CB on the FA market either so unless we pull of a trade it’s going to be another tough season in terms of pass coverage.

  4. Slaythembucs We are in better shape than last year at CB actually but still need help imo. Grimes was worthless last year and you had Hargreaves hurt and he’s back and looked great before the injury. So it’s better this year IMO. Also they will quite the failed Stewart at CB experiment which should help this year. Hope he can transition to safety well or he was wasted pick.

  5. I agree though we need probably one more CB “starter” either in draft or free agency and better depth.

  7. Good move; he comes with 3 years of experience in the NFL. This will also be his 3rd coaching change and he seems to be a fast learner.
