Pyburn was cut...

7 DLs (Elijah Simmons) or 6 CBs (Pepe Williams)?

10 OLs (Luke Haggard + Billy Schrauth) or 7 WRs (David Sills V)?

wonder if Pyburn told them he was back to LSU and that prompted the cut…guess it doesn’t matter now

If he clears waivers he'll be a free agent next year and will get to keep his training camp money. He's probably headed up to LSU as we speak.

But didn't the SEC say no this? Or did that judge overturn it?

SEC waffled on their initial action and are allowing it. The NCAA has a meeting tomorrow (I think) with the committee to possibly offer up penalty for any team allowing graduated/already NFL practiced players. That penalty could include disqualification from the national championship. SEC Head Sankey is a little bitch. He should have held firm.

Damn this drama is hilarious. All to help Kiffin go from 8 wins to 9 wins 😂

A judge did block the order, with the SEC is reportedly going to challenge.

These fuggin' judges are ridiculous.

Its not the judge (or judges) its the NCAA, right?

"But the latest wave of cases stems from the NCAA's new eligibility policy enacted this summer. The new rule grants athletes five seasons of eligibility, up from four under the previous bylaw. The association chose not to make an exception for players graduating this spring who exhausted their eligibility under the former policy.

That decision, made by the member schools themselves, sparked the current landscape: more than 300 athletes filing 60-plus lawsuits for an additional year, including those who this spring signed pro contracts without knowledge of the NCAA's rule change. Athletes have won a wide portion of those rulings, but inconsistent judicial decisions — the NCAA has, for now, won cases in Ohio, New York, Nevada and a federal suit in Colorado — has created an uneven competitive playing field.

I think the NCAA fucked themselves right into a corner on this one. Then the Big 10 balled up and said we ain't honoring that stupidity, then the SEC followed suit, then Sankey caved like a bitch and got backlash, and now he's waffling again. The entire NCAA is a shitshow. They created this mess themselves. Had they implemented a very regulated NIL with structure and clear guidelines on eligibility, none of this stuff would have happened. They caused this bullshit. I don't blame the players though I do think its a bitchass move to try and go back to play college ball AFTER you faced cuts at the pro level. ANd while we are at it, fuck Lane Kiffin with a rusty fencepost until his eyeholes bleed. He's the douchecanoe stirring all this stuff up (and LSU).

Agreed that the NCAA is a shitshow, but this shit is happening because of judges. Here is a link to a judge blocking the SEC:

Biggs, what I mean in the grand scheme of things is that had the NCAA took care of business when they thought NIL was a good thing and stipulated itself and regulated itself, this would not be occurring. Agreed that the judges are now a part of this whole mess, but had the NCAA used their ten cent brains to override their million dollar mouth/actions, this wouldn't even be a thing.

On one hand, they get what they deserve. On the other, its screwing both the college game and the pro game.
