i'd say Jets

Stop

maybe I’m overrating the 3 first round picks in the top 10 (most likely top 15 when all said and done)

only time will tell

Kubiak interviewed with cardinals dolphins ravens falcons and giants as well

other than maybe harbaugh with giants, wouldn’t those other teams have wanted Kubiak over who they chose? Can only speculate but having #1 overall pick was certainly an added perk to Kubiak ultimately choosing them. Would argue the talent level not as good as some of those other teams

again no idea how it all went down, I’m just saying keep an eye out for jets

not even sure rams OC will be a hot commodity given the year rams are having so far

I'll be willing to bet a hefty amount that you're dead wrong on this.

to be clear, i did make a prediction here.  Just saying how the season is currently going, 2-4, 20th ranked offense in PPG.  Surely, the Rams are underperforming.

I agree in theory with you, that one would think the Rams will get it together and go on a run here late in the season.

otherwise, we are looking at another KC-SF Superbowl....boring

I thought DH was saying the OC will be a hot commodity either way?

are you both saying the Rams turn it around?

Can't speak for DH but my view:

if the Rams go 6-11, with the same trajectory of 20th in points scored, i am sure he will get interviews, i am just saying, will he be the top choice like Klint Kubiak was this past hiring cycle, probably not.

could be wrong

Rams going 11-6 which would require quite a run here, and he may jump to the #1

Note that the Rams ranked 1st last year in points scored, at 30.5 pts per game.   They are averaging 22.5 points per game this year.

Declan Doyle, Baltimore OC; Grant Udinski, Jags OC, and Klay Kubiak, SF OC likely to be in the mix as well.

to be clear, i'll take any of the 4 over Bowles lol

Can assure you the Giants will have buyers remorse on Harbaugh by year two if not sooner.

Lincoln Riley?

People thought it was a joke when I suggested paying the Bucs coach over $10 mil.  Do you realize what the college coaches are making these days? It's professional football now, and the top teams are willing to pay big money for tehir coaches.

Riley has a base salary of $10.4 mil and a rumoured buyout of $70 mil.

Sarkisian has 7 years for $80 mil with an 85% buyout running through 2031.

Ryan Day gets $12.5 mil/year base through 2031 and they have to pay $11.5 for each year to buy him out.

College coaching is a better gig than the NFL, because these college alumni and boosters are billionaires and they don't care how much it costs. They want their team to contend for a championship no matter what it costs. NFL is second best.  You don't progress from college to NFL anymore.  It might be the other way around.

And when it comes to what the Bucs will have to pay for their next HC, $10 mil is probably not going to get it done.

yep, I asked about Lincoln Riley because he was suggested by another outlet based on his connection to Mayfield so I wonder what the thought would be here given there are a lot of CFB people.

Glazers have explored the idea of hiring college coaches in the past but really in the modern era the pay rate far exceeds what most pro coaches receive.

It is going to have be an offensive minded coach and I don't believe for a second the Glazers prefer a defensive minded coach.

Yes that's why the suggestion seemed odd to me.

even more so when I read about the buyout
