I'm one of Bakers biggest supporters.
Look back to 2023 season when Bucs were at like 4-6 and i was in the Baker Bro camp but many, were clamoring for Kyle Trask.
You’re so completely and utterly full of shit.
By your own admission, you were “one more loss away” from wanting to kick the tires on Trask.
Again, you might be the biggest flip-flopping fair weather fan posting on these boards.
you don’t think I was a baker bro in 2023 or just debating there Debbie
also, thoughts on Biggs post trying to understand the issue? Any commentary there or deflection is your go to?

Did you or did you not say you were ready to pull the trigger on Kyle if the Bucs had lost another game back in 2023?

I’ve already given my thoughts, Cupcake.
I understand you Philly folks are slow, but at least try to pay attention.

deflection at its finest!
at 4-7, I said one more loss and I will give into the likes of you and others who wanted trask to start. you probably thought trask and mayfield was an actual qb competition final game of preseason where trask was playing whole game
i said once we were theoretically eliminated at 4-8, I would be ok to see what Trask had in the final several games
But don’t get my criticism of of baker twisted that I’m not a supporter of him.
Slow? Please dude my net worth trumps yours. No pun intended. Go shine your gun and shoot at animals
We could do all of that, have a super low cap, and lose more games than we win, for another decade, too. We have at least two of those era’s in this franchises history. There it is.
Baker rebounds and he is our guy
but if you think if he replicates last year, Bucs have a losing record, new head coach, and he is a pending free agent; you best believe our draft position and offensive minded head coach we hire will have a say in who he wants our QB to be.
in the everything goes right - Baker returns to top 10 form, Bucs have double digit wins, and Baker is resigned to a 4,5 year deal in the $200-$250 range
No thanks. I’ll take my chances signing the guy that has proven he could win games here, with the available talent, and a good OC. The data favors that level of hope more than contorting it to favor drafting Arch Manning.
And whether it’s 3 years 135m or $150m - or 4 years $200m… who cares?
The Jets don't seem to be in tank mode. They took Cooper and Sadiq in round 1 and signed Geno to start so they are looking at going all out. On defense Glenn went all out and aggressively signed Onyemata, Davis, Ossai, Wright and traded for Fitzpatrick and Sweat. And drafted Bailey, Darnell Jackson and Ponds.
Dolphins on the other hand have Atwell and Tolbert as the "feature" WRs. With drafted players Bell, Douglas and Coleman Jr bringing the rear. They took Proctor in round 1 and they have Malik Willis as QB1. In fairness their defense looks to be potent with picking up Uche, drafting Moore, signing Ojabo and Kyle Lous and Rodriguez as the future LB duo with Dodson and Brooks in front of them. They drafted Chris Johnson in round 1 so they have a lot more than one would think defensively.
If a team that tanks it will probably be a team that unexpectedly underpeforms and has a shot at Arch IMO.
Geno Smith and Malik Willis.....tank mode
EDIT:
Said another way, who was the starting QB for the Raiders last year when they managed to get #1 pick last year :)
No one really considers Geno Smith a tank commander if we are to be honest. The Jets have a competent OL so it isn't going to go way people think.
Dolphins and Malik Willis is a higher possibility but Willis can ball if given the right offense. The Dolphins RB stable is potent but that WR corps is very iffy.

Where the Bucs brass and i are standing is that we are 75% certain that Baker is the answer. So of course, "Baker is our guy. He is the future!"
but he didnt play his best last year, again, being positive, due to a number of factors, poor offensive coordinator, injuries to offensive line, and injuries to the man himself.
it's that damn 25% however that is just too high a percentage and luckily no gun to our head so let Baker play with a chip on his shoulder this year in a contract year and then pay the man his money after this season!
Let's say Baker throws 22 touchdowns and 15 INTs next year in a 17 game season. Are you willing to give the guy a 3, 4 year deal? Honest question. And i know Baker has been the best QB "not named Tom Brady" that this franchise has seen but just telling you where Licht and I stand on the issue
Disclaimer: I could be wrong, an extension before the season will make me eat crow. Otherwise, i am not wrong, even if Baker throws 50 TDs this year. It was the wise thing to wait. I'm projecting a 4 year, $200M deal next offseason for our guy.

just to give you over/under win totals
lowest teams
Arizona -4.5
Las Vegas- 5.5
Miami - 4.5
New York Jets - 5.5
so while Vegas isn't always right, the expectations are extremely low for Miami and NYJ and it would not surprise if both are picking QBs high in next years draft.

I just think the Raiders and Cardinals are in tougher divisions to be honest so it comes down to it. Also I am not buying that Arizona is the lone NFC team in the Arch Manning sweepstakes. At some point you are going to see other NFC teams stumble.

Okay. So, you finally admit you were ready to make the switch.
And, we weren't "theoretically eliminated" at 4-8, considering we won the division at 9-8.
Thanks for confirming though.
Slow? Please dude my net worth trumps yours.
Yeah. Slow.
And, clearly, soft.
Bitch made soft.
Zip it up, kiddo. Your tiny little insecurity is sticking out.

says the bitch that starts the name calling or else it wouldn't degrade to it. Feels tough attacking posters through his keyboard
I should ask, did you prefer Debatable Debbie or Deflection Danny?

You can call me Debatable Debbie.
Ill refer to you as Bitch Made Badabing.
so while Vegas isn't always right
Usually Vegas is way off
so you have any of those teams making the playoffs?
Not the playoffs but certainly more competitive. How many wins do you think the Bucs have this upcoming season??
Is Bain the guy to push us to a place of defensive relevancy?? Will him and Scott have the UM telpathy carry over to the pros?
Will Trotter show up early and make big time NFL plays. Will Anzalone be able to cover a TE/RB
Is Gainwell an upgrade over White? (he is)
Tampa is in good shape but like every squad, we have questions.
