I'd rank Baker at 12th on this list ahead of Lawrence.
I'd place Baker's future deal around $55m. He hasn't accomplished as much as almost all those on the list.
Before you criticize, think about all the QBs on the list and what they've done with their teams over the past three seasons.
there was never a doubt in my mind Baker would be at 50+ and $55M as likely but my view is he gets that whether he signs now or in February 2027 and whether he tosses 25 TDs or 40TDs.
the market value is set, it's about guaranteed money and number of years. I'm sure Baker came pushing for a 5 year deal as an example.
The Bucs could sign him now, he could tear his ACL or he could revert to Cleveland Baker.....and we could have had 2026 to assess so i'm not sure why Bucs would be in a rush with 0% chance of him playing somewhere else next year if they desire to have him in Tampa in 2027.
