we are just remembering the explosiveness of Bucky in 2024 so the potential is there.

agreed

Largely I'm using Bucky's sample size as a starter while healthy... Which is what, 9-12 games his rookie year?

Yeah its a tough comparison but to your point about playmaker I think Irving and Williams both have about 1200 yards rushing (+/-) in 2024 but is only 200 ish attempts for Irving versus Williams being over 300. Bucky was pretty electric

there's no denying that Bucky was great his rookie year.  So was Michael Clayton and Cadillac Williams.....

but the fact of the matter is, Williams has put up some pretty good numbers consistently the last 3 years

Bucky was irrelevant last year in the 10 games he played.

He is now banged up to start this year.  Will he miss time?  start on the PUP?  who knows.  Hopefully he is back.

We have high hopes for Bucky but to date, Williams is the better back.  He is 25, Bucky is 23 and he has more tread on his tires.  Bucky may very well end up being the better back in 2026....but not much of a competition as we sit here in June.  We are just remembering the explosiveness of Bucky in 2024 so the potential is there....but would like him to show that 2024 was not a fluke.

It's easy to forget what Bucky was running into... Grizz had some of the worst play calling I've ever seen in the run game, and for what ever reason couldn't come to terms with how banged the line was, particularly in the a-gap.

I'm trying to think of plays where I watched Bucky miss opportunities last year and from memory none come to mind.

The line was injured, Baker was injured, Bucky was injured, and as such the production dropped.

For me, I just don't put much weight in last season + Tucker vulturing the goal line ineffectively.

We went from an A+ run game with a healthy Bucky and line to an F- run game with a banged up squad.

Kyren's production is largely volume based and quite frankly it's a miracle that he hasn't missed more time with that volume on that frame.

In short, Kyren is/was in a better system with far more volume and health.

Compare talent and I give the edge to Bucky.

Bucky started three games his rookie season and nine last season.

White was the technical starter but Bucky had starter touches for the back half of the season. He was essentially the starter.

This isn’t true. There were only five games where Irving had more snaps than White that season, with three of those being when he started.

For the season, White had 52% and Irving had 45% of the snaps.. Hell, White led the team in snaps last season too. Unlike Kyren Williams, Bucky Irving has never led his team in snap count at the RB position.

Nah

Last 8 games touches:

16, 18, 28, 5 (injury), 17, 21, 24, 21

Vs White

16, 13, 12, 20 (Bucky hurt), 17, 11, 7, 0 (injury?)

Last 3 games he barely carried the ball. Clearly Bucky became the lead back but White got extra snaps because of third and long.

Correct. Those were the three games Irving started that season.

Biggs you always go out of your way to be dishonest. White is the 3rd down back. That is why he has all those snaps, both seasons

in 2024 Irving is the Bucs feature back. It's why he has 200plus carries to Whites 140.

dishonest just to argue.

This dumbass thinks the team has more third downs than first and second downs. One of the many reasons your sad, voluminous posts are only worth pointing and laughing.

Take your retarded ass to google and give me some nonsensical string posting.

It's easy to forget what Bucky was running into...

It was the same stuff White and Tucker ran into.

Both of them were better than Bucky (from basic to advanced metrics), even when he was healthy.
