If Bowles can have this .500 club make the playoffs and win a playoff game they will erect a statue of him at Ray Jay and the Glazers will cover the cost and not ask taxpayers for a hand out.
Yes, these owners love themselves a little bit of Bowles! If there is a statue, let's hope it has a "grinning idiot" face as appropriate.
Jacksonville is coming off a 13 win season
they have the NFC East and AFC North, Patriots, Broncos, and Bears. Certainly not an easy schedule there either but with them having 13 wins last year, you gotta give them the respect
i'd probably rank it like this
1. Jaguars
The Jaguars are the interesting one to me because they haven't really had a big offseason and Coen has talked about changing it all up to stay ahead. They also had 31 takeaways in 2025.
The O/U seems low so does that mean Vegas is seeing them come back down to earth
13 wins is something we'd only be able to dream about with Bowles
i agree that if i had to suggest would Jaguars have less wins than last year. Yes, i'd put some pretty good money on that they'd have less than 13 wins
Would i feel just as confident on Bucs DEFINETLY having more wins than last year's 8. I am not so sure.
I dont think we really moved needle much on talent/being a better team to offset the schedule and mad mojo in lockerroom.
I guess Eagles did it with Siriani when they quit on him in 2023, replaced all coordinators and then won Superbowl in 2024
problem with Bucs is they didnt fire their DC so not quite similar situation
Rank the best "Bucs HC" O/U bets of 2026:
Bowles Bucs 8.5 (-130)
Canales Panthers 7.5 (+110)
Coen Jaguars 8.5 (+120)
As far as how good they are as HC’s:
1. Coen
2. Canales
3. Bowles
top 10 coaches in no order - Reid, McVay, Shanahan, Payton, Harbaugh, Harbaugh, LaFleur, Ryans, Sirianni, Mike McDonald
then to round out top 15 - Coen, Campbell, O'Connell, Ben Johnson, Dan Quinn
much like QBs, the back half of the top 10 and remainder of top 15 is fluid and can likely jump depending on success or lack thereof this season
i'd probably rank McCarthy, Stefanski, Saleh, Shottenheimer, and first timer Mike LaFleur to round out the top 20
Bowles ceiling likely somewhere in the 21 to 25 range. I'd rank him ahead of Canales....but it's darn close...like right before him
