If Bowles can have this .500 club make the playoffs and win a playoff game they will erect a statue of him at Ray Jay and the Glazers will cover the cost and not ask taxpayers for a hand out.

Yes, these owners love themselves a little bit of Bowles! If there is a statue, let's hope it has a "grinning idiot" face as appropriate.

Jacksonville is coming off a 13 win season

they have the NFC East and AFC North, Patriots, Broncos, and Bears.  Certainly not an easy schedule there either but with them having 13 wins last year, you gotta give them the respect

i'd probably rank it like this

1. Jaguars

The Jaguars are the interesting one to me because they haven't really had a big offseason and Coen has talked about changing it all up to stay ahead.  They also had 31 takeaways in 2025.

The O/U seems low so does that mean Vegas is seeing them come back down to earth

13 wins is something we'd only be able to dream about with Bowles

i agree that if i had to suggest would Jaguars have less wins than last year.  Yes, i'd put some pretty good money on that they'd have less than 13 wins

Would i feel just as confident on Bucs DEFINETLY having more wins than last year's 8.  I am not so sure.

I dont think we really moved needle much on talent/being a better team to offset the schedule and mad mojo in lockerroom.

I guess Eagles did it with Siriani when they quit on him in 2023, replaced all coordinators and then won Superbowl in 2024

problem with Bucs is they didnt fire their DC so not quite similar situation

Rank the best "Bucs HC" O/U bets of 2026:

Bowles Bucs 8.5 (-130)

Canales Panthers 7.5 (+110)

Coen Jaguars 8.5 (+120)

As far as how good they are as HC’s:

1. Coen

2. Canales

3. Bowles

top 10 coaches in no order - Reid, McVay, Shanahan, Payton, Harbaugh, Harbaugh, LaFleur, Ryans, Sirianni, Mike McDonald

then to round out top 15 - Coen, Campbell, O'Connell, Ben Johnson, Dan Quinn

much like QBs, the back half of the top 10 and remainder of top 15 is fluid and can likely jump depending on success or lack thereof this season

i'd probably rank McCarthy, Stefanski, Saleh, Shottenheimer, and first timer Mike LaFleur to round out the top 20

Bowles ceiling likely somewhere in the 21 to 25 range.  I'd rank him ahead of Canales....but it's darn close...like right before him

Neither Harbaugh is in the top 20 coaches.  It’s funny how much they have fooled so many.  Imagine not closing the door with Lamar under center.

not top 20...come on man lol

EDIT:

One is a Super Bowl winning head coach.  One that with Lamar who is never available was not able to close the deal, you are correct

Another is a head coach that is a perennial playoff coach in tough divisions.

All I know is, these guys get passes where other coaches don't and it's just not warranted.  The Chargers are underachieving.  The Giants are projected to finish 4th in their division.

The Giants are always projected to finish 4th but with Harbaugh that changes this year.  The NFCE is overrated because the Eagles are not even in the most talented team in the division as the Cowboys pulled ahead this off season.  Commanders are going to be a spoiler but they have maxed out what they can do with their current coaching staff so it comes down to how much Daniels can improve.

The more talented division of NFCN and NFCW are really going to determine the NFC picture a lot.  NFCS has to prove they are better than NFCE, NFCN, and NFCW.

As for the Chargers have they have been over achieving/on par relatively to their talent level the last 2 seasons and they are almost through restocking their roster.  Before Harbaugh's arrival during Lynn/Staley era they were one of the more talented teams in the league that constantly underachieved.

But with Harbaugh the Chargers have back to back 11 win seasons. And that is with the Chiefs and Broncos in their division so if either Harbaugh brother picks up more talent along the way they just become stronger and stronger outs for teams to try to beat.

Not sure about this.

Daniels was figured out quickly in his sophomore season.

They do it every year with QBs that burst onto the scene.

RG3 did it too.

We see it every year. Year 3 is the best assessment of a QB imo

Daniels has to break out or the Commanders are mid at best.  NFCE seemed to take a step back compared to even the NFCS last season but we will see if all those teams can rebound in the NFCE.  But I just think the NFCS has a better collection of younger talent moving forward with more potential of growth.  While the NFCE is still trying to hold onto old glory like the Eagles.  Meanwhile NFCW and NFCN are clearly stronger top to bottom.

I think Daniels has the brain and ability to be a very good QB.  My only concern is, and it’s a big one, can he shield that slight body type from year after year injuries.  Lamar is different as he has a bit of a build.  Daniels is just so slight in the legs and arms.  I like him and his game but not sure he can stay on the field.
