It's almost like the Bucs FO manages things well enough that they never really lose players they want to keep. Every offseason there's some angst but it seems to always resolve.

Correct. Only the casual portion of our fan base has issues with Tampa’s front office. We seem to always do the right thing and are a place where FAs want to come and play.

Ironically enough, you took a sabbatical when this front office cut bait with Jameis Weinstein, and signed a REAL quarterback.
Hell, you didn't post for years.
It's weird...

No what was weird was the obsession with jameis. I think he was family only way to explain the takes.
There will be cap consequences down the road.
Again, waiting for the details.
But, they don't appear to be in a position to let the whole amount to hit their 2027 cap.
So, more dead money incoming.
Okay, so it looks like the real details are out.
As I had suspected, they added void years.
With this one, it's 5 void years, to spread out the cap hit on the $21.4M bonus.
Frees up over $17M in cap space for this year (which can be rolled over to next year).
So, we’ll have Vea on the books until 2032.

Lmfao Jameis Weinstein. Spitting out my coffee reading that 😂 😂 😂

Constantly kicking the can and hoping the cap increases enough to build out a competent roster.
Tough to truly win... Hopefully Licht knows something we don't about this year's team.

Yeah. I mean, he was a number I didn’t think we’d have to factor in after this season.
Now, I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended guaranteeing Godwin’s 2027 salary.
Clearly, they think we’re in a “window”, which is comical considering who the HC is.

Poor management decisions by Licht.

Maybe hypocrisy was a more accurate term.

At least you admit you’re a fair weather fan.
Kudos to you, lil’ slugger.
Shame though, as instead of SA cases, suspensions, and countless pick-6’s; you missed out on a SB win, underrated players finally getting their due on the national stage, and the best QB play this franchise has (and will ever) see.

Or, I’ve never missed a snap since year one. Solid effort though.

Does this mean that for cap purposes the $21.4 is split evenly across the years 2027 to 2023?
