Injuries have become synonymous with the Los Angeles Chargers over the years, and that trend has of course continued into 2020. After losing safety Derwin James for the season and edge defender Melvin Ingram and defensive tackle Justin Jones to short-term injured reserve, the Chargers have lost another defensive starter in cornerback Chris Harris for at least the next four weeks.

Harris, a four-time Pro Bowler, was playing almost exclusively in the slot for Los Angeles, and would have likely matched up a lot with Chris Godwin if the Bucs wide receiver was healthy in time for Sunday’s game. Now, both top talents could miss Week 4.

Harris’ injury could move box safety Desmond King back to the nickel full-time, while Casey Heyward and Michael Davis remain outside. The Chargers secondary is one of the deepest and most talented in the entire NFL, so even without Harris, the Bucs passing game will have their hands full on Sunday.
