Hendrickson to the Ravens 4/$112m. That's a big number. Seems like there is certainly some fuckery going on in Baltimore considering they just backed out of the Crosby deal last night. No way they negotiated with Hendrickson's camp in 12 hours.
Nice recovery for them.
Commanders add K'Lavon. Chaisson 1 year $12 mil deal joining Oweh.
The NFC teams are making moves while the Bucs are just picking daises so far. Licht needs to have a better plan than rely on 2-3 rookies on defense to help this team win games in 2026.

Rookies tend not to do well in Todd's overly complex defense.

That is the problem.
Licht can only redeem himself if he can land 2 more veteran starters on defensive front seven. Relying on rookie edge rushers with the inexperience the Bucs have in the room is not a good plan.
They really need to get Bradley Chubb now that Hendrickson is gone. Probably have to over pay but they are desperate for it.

Chubb seems in play but my concern is that if Licht thinks he can wait it out then he will lose out on Chubb too if he becomes too complacent waiting for a price drop.
Fowler, Chubb, Reddick, Clowney, Ojulari, Epenesa, Uche, etc are out there so nabbing two of them would help this team immensely.
Ravens should probably be investigated for this

definitely bad look, but for what? Just curious.
If they gave him a physical before the trade was done it would've been with the Raiders permission, right? I think that is the point of an earlier post by someone, a physical without approval from the Raiders would be tampering. It definitely looks bad, like in the handshake sense, but a failed physical is an entirely reasonable reason to skip on the trade.
I saw Florio call it "bad form," which is sort of saying shitty thing to do but okay.
My new theory is glazers are hurt financially or are just trying to save money. It makes me wonder if they are not confident in this team enough for this time. But if they were you'd have to spend money. I think at the end of the day they don't want to do that. Why even bother owning a team then? It's like a kid getting some kind of toy they enjoy for a few days and then never touch it again. Have felt that way about this ownership and I think united fans have felt the same.
The other theory is that the world knows this isn't a good football team with the people running the show and want no part of it.
Tampa regardless of the hc is an attractive place to play. Baker is fun to play for. It makes me wonder about his health overall. Tampa talent wise is on the down side while others are going up. It's probably as simple as this.

There was speculation that the Hawks were up for sale a year ago and that is what is happening now. But that still didn't stop the Hawks from making moves in free agency so I am not what is going on.
The Bucs are out of cap jail and ME is not on the book so the Bucs have cap space to work with. The "woe is me" spiel that PR is pushing how the Bucs can't spend money on free agents or hand out signing bonuses is laughable.

Maybe, but there aren't may teams that are going to be eager to deal with DeCosta moving forward.
The "failed physical" thing is such bullshit. They knew Crosby just had surgery in January, everybody knew he just had surgery in January. They could have, and should have, done the physical prior to agreeing to the trade. Instead, they tied up Crosby and the Raiders, all while negotiating with Hendrickson. Then after agreeing to terms with Hendrickson, used the bullshit "failed physical" excuse to renege on the trade and get their picks back. It's definitely dirty pool.
D. Jones agrees to a monster record breaking NFL 2 year $88 mil deal.
KJ Britt signs a 1 year deal with the Patriots

Yep.
This is the long term ramification of it.
Dirty indeed.

Perfect explanation. Understand this is a business but generally teams do not play this kind of dirty. Not sure if there any recourse for the Ravens because technically they didn't do anything wrong.
