My question to you, is that Baker will get banged up as does any QB during an NFL season; if he doesnt top 30+ TDs in a 17 game season in 2026, was the 2024 year a fluke?
In 2023 Baker was probably top 10 in most categories. He played well. Especially with that offense. That brings us to your question
no it wouldn't be a fluke 2024 would be optimal conditions.
you seem to approach it like Mayfields performance is just him. It's the opposite of that. In 2024 they played in a great system that had them in the lead often and a great running game that used short throws as an extension.
in 2023 they were at least committed to a balanced attack and had a decent defense.
in 2025 especially late playing injured trying to throw deeper, line has been injured all season, weak running game and PRESSURE.
EVERY QB including Brady has a performance that is tied to the team around them. It's not one on one basketball.
Bold predictions? Okay I will throw something out there. What if the Bucs draft CB in round 1 and 2?
Would that be crazy and bold?

Yes, it would.

It would be brain dead
It would be bold for sure......and absolutely crazy considering that even all the BPA when they choose to pick (regardless of staying firm at 15 or trading down) will NOT be CBs. And keep in mind that 2 of the top CBs are from my alma mater and I don't know that I would consider them "top 40" picks. They were good in college, but Jermod McCoy has had some injuries that I would be mindful of if I were an NFL team and Colton Hood has a smaller sample size against good/great talent than I would feel comfortable with drafting in the top 40. McCoy is expected to go early to mid teens and Hood is somewhere between 25-35.Bold predictions? Okay I will throw something out there. What if the Bucs draft CB in round 1 and 2?

That’s not true.
Won’t know until the board shakes out.
You can believe whatever you want to believe, DH. There are always surprises during the draft that no one predicts or simulates but I would bet the farm on my statement being more accurate than not.and absolutely crazy considering that even all the BPA when they choose to pick (regardless of staying firm at 15 or trading down) will NOT be CBs.

Didn’t we just spend high picks on CBs last year in back to back rounds?
didn’t we just extend McCollum to a lucrative deal
I’d be disappointed if we went with CB or any offensive position quite frankly in the first 3 rounds
Defensive lineman, edge rusher, inside linebacker all seem like solid and clear needs
